These last 12-18 months under Rodgers reign.. or Hodgson..

Many people may disagree, but I would say Rodgers..

Purely down to the embarrassing results we have had over the last 6 months and his baffling tactical decisions..

Club records upon club records Broken.. Yes Hodgson was a bumbling idiot, he made some poor signings, but he did at least have us doing well in Europe..

It's certainly close. I think so far this season we are definitely as bad if not worse than anything we saw under Hodgson. We still beat some of the shite at home under Woy. Last season wasn't quite Hodgson levels, but I fear if he stays is this season will be.

With Hodgson, the only vaguely reassuring thing was the feeling that he'd be kicked out really quickly if results weren't good, so, for me at least, it never seemed a long term problem. With Rodgers, the depressing thought was that FSG had committed themselves to him so strongly that he'd have to do somethng catastrophically wrong to get pushed out.

i'm tempted to say rodgers b/c of the cuntish posting of some fans on this site ... Rodgers got us closer to the league than anyone in the last two decades - that was a great ride ... Probably the most fun I've had as a fan since I was a kid.

@gkmacca postig about Rodgers' state is what makes me rather sad. Cocky? Sure, but he gave it a shot, tried various ideas and it just didn't work ...

He had some phenomenal results and some horrific results but he clearly tried to revive the 'ghosts' of this once famous, perhaps permacrocked, giant of English and world football.

He needs to go - not only because he's struggling to get the players playing - but because you can see it's destroying him ... I hope he rebuilds his career somehwere else, and finds himself at a top job in a few years, winning leagues. He's not delivered the goods ... but I won't fault his effot or dedication.

That's close to what I'd type if I could be arsed.

Jono fails to remember that Hodgson didn't have a good part to his reign, just abject empty performances from the word go. So yeah, lets pick the shit half of Rodgers reign and make a shitty sensationalist comparison.

Same old from Jono. Different thread title, same thread.

I did however notice that in Woys time in charge we spent -2.8m
Whereas Brentin has spent upwards towards 150m

So whilst OBVIOUSLY its still Woy, its hardly a level playing field.

I'm comparing the recent slump to Hodgson reign.

Not the whole picture.

This is far worse IMHO... for the reasons I already noted...

Oncey also made a very valid point... He spent feck all compared to what Rodgers has, we are the lowest we have ever been in the European rankings and he is shite in Europe..

Hodgson.. I hated him with a passion, and never wanted him at the club in the first place, but for me the last 6 months have felt far worse than anything we put up with back then..

Both are terrible with the media and both managers made us laughing stock.

Hodgson however was always going to be a short term option, so you just knew one day he would be gone, with Rodgers however, it's a FSG project... It is that reason why it has felt far worse, especially with bad result after bad result, because the chancer has been more difficult to shift..

So get off your high horse, read the thread title for what it is.

Did you ever love that wee cunt?

Here's a valid point then

One is a guy with 1 season of experience managing in a top Division and 4 years as a manager altogether.
The other has 34 years experience in many countries at many levels.

^^before coming to Liverpool

Forget the money, Hodgson was a useless cunt and he came across like someones embarrassing granddad despite all his experience. He's a specialist in lowering expectations, hired because he's a yes man when the situation requires it.
