I rather enjoy the durien thing.

My friends can't stand the smell though. They said it smells like shit.
Yes, got some people cant stand the smell. But for most of the Malaysian and some tourist, they are the best fruit. Durian is crowned as "King of the fruit."

I don't see no octopus on those trays. 😉

I did! At the Kao Sarn road, we were a little drunk and around midnight or 2 ish there's cart filled with fried bugs, so we though why the heck not.

It's...alright. A lot of them are covered in a soy sauce, and the grasshopper got them sharp legs. I tried some fried worms thing too. They do eat weird stuff over there.

Nah,mate.

That's a dessert.

Tastes great, but I have no clue whats in it.

Some of the food on here looks fabulous, but others look hideous. Take that dish about two pages ago that everyone was exited about. It looked like a spare rib that had been boiled to death.

I don't like boiled food. It robs all the flavour and texture.

Bak kut teh..

It's actually 'Pork Rib Soup'.Tastes fantastic, but it really does depend on the herbs and spices used.

:-[

Don't actually know that one
Dong Zhi is the thanksgiving of the Chinese calendar. "Dong Zhi" literally means "arrival of winter". Coinciding with the winter solstice, it is an occasion for the family to get together to celebrate the good year they have had. Tang Yuan (??) is cooked and eaten to symbolise unity and harmony within the family. Dong Zhi occurs 6 weeks before Chinese New Year and would normally fall between 21st Dec and 23rd Dec.
