I may have a beer or something before my main meal, I am now actually, but there is nowt worse than getting halfway through the evening and then it dawning on you that you haven't eaten. But, usually yo get over it quickly cos you're pissed.

I just had a midnight Middle Eastern feast of Kabsah laham (rice and lamb cooked together), Mez’ze (hummus, tahini, olives, gerkins, greens with Arabic bread) and Meshawi (mixed grill of chicken, mushrooms and sausages). And mint tea to go with it.

I'm not sure if those are standard dishes, but they were amazing. I'll be getting a Mandi Kharouf (lamb shoulder with rice) in my next outing.

In the Dominican Republic they have some overproof stuff called 151 (I think - it's certainly 151 proof anyway) that was about 70% or so - fucking rocket fuel.

It was the sort of stuff you had to be drunk in order to drink, but it did lead to what was probably the second most impressive vomiting experience in my life

21st birthday, around 6am, somewhere in the hills around Devils Dyke.

Coming up on my 8th pill, more spannered than I'd ever been in my life, I attempted to vomit in the normal fashion, but - unsure of my capacity to actually bend over without sticking my face in the barbed wire fence I was hanging on to - I decided to remain standing upright and proceeded to projectile vomit about 8 feet onto a bush.

It was *very* impressive

I prefer chunky cuts from the potato rather than the processed chips

Do you know there are fruit based crisps as well?

Like from mango, banana and jack fruit.
