They need to make it an actual rule that the ref must whistle to stop play, none of this 'sportsmanship/discretion' bollocks where you feel obliged to kick the ball out, it just confuses the players & the flow of the game, sometimes you have a weird couple of minutes where players are half playing properly & half watching the ref or downed man to see if they need to kick it out.

The commentator implies that a Leeds player shaped as if he was about to kick it out & all the Villa players stopped, then he passed it to the goalscorer. TBH didn't look like that to me, and even if it were true, as they say "play to the whistle".

No Jules that was a bit before my time although I am familiar with the storyline, In fact, I was born on the day that the team you are referring to lost to Sunderland in the FA Cup final.

I also do not like Leeds but at the same time... they really don't like United very much...
