what has this season taught you?

There's nothing worse than the player himself coming and out and saying that you lot defending him are wrong.

Except he isn't saying that, but never mind, you just go ahead and spin it the way that suits your view best.

What he actually saying is that he hasn't had a good season due to injuries, this comment being the most pertinent :
“Getting injured and missing pre-season I feel played a big part in my recurring injuries. It’s a very important part for a footballer to get the basis of the fitness in.
.
People are not saying he's had a great season, they are saying that he looks good when he's on the pitch (and will be an excellent player for us when fit) but that his season has been devastated by injuries, that being a convenient tool for some to stick and twist the knife, even (Gerry - http://sixcrazyminutes.com/index.ph...s-season-taught-you.65053/page-3#post-1270143) to claim it as the reason for our poor season.

Injuries generally arent an excuse.

If you break your leg in a fifty fifty you're unlucky.

If you're simply not up to the demands of top level football that's entirely different. And that's the case with Lallana. His body breaks down too easily.

He's going to struggle all the time to be fit enough to play a full season, and for that reason he's a vast overpay at 25m. We could have picked up more productive players for half that.

Since it was brought up in this thread, let me just say, I hate Morse's player of the season. Every time we lose or play like turd I think, "why the fuck would you want that thing?" Then the same popular players do well in games where we are awful or they are passengers and end up near the top. Fuck that, the next player of the season? The one who scores the goals to win our first title of the millennium.

Disagree. The variety of nominations, not only in the thread on here but between sites, gives the lie to that heavily over-cynical view.

This season has taught me I can't stand Louis van gaal he's a tit. Only yesterday he blurted out after the game,
About the title;

“It is not definitely gone because we can still win 15 points and they can still lose 18 points,” he said.

He is only a "tit" because he manages Scum utd. If he was manager of another team, we would love him because we know he is nuts. That reminds me, we should do a post as to who we think deserves the biggest cock award?

"Love him" my giddy aunt. We might not despise him quite so much, but that's a rather different matter.
