What does Klopp do between now and Jan?

As if.

What has been statistically proven is that we are no longer a pressing team (1st or 2nd, alongside Spurs, last season down to 9th this) and that could only have happened with explicit instructions from our coaching team. Why is the pertinent question. Are they that worried about burn-out with the addition of the CL ?

Quite possibly so, at least partly, but my guess is it's also a reaction to not getting van Dijk and Keita in the summer, a recognition of the fact that without them we're more vulnerable than we ought to be when other teams come at us.

So we sit off them ? That doesn't sound like any Klopp team in the past 10 years. So the question really is ... WTF is going on ? It's a drastic change.

Not "sit off them" exactly, but maybe press a bit less often? I freely admit this is guesswork BTW, and it certainly is uncharacteristic of Klopp but, if it is true, at least he's trying to tailor his style to current circs (contrary to the accusation sometimes levelled at him that he doesn't do so) till we fetch in the players he needs to fully implement his vision.

However we finished 4th last season with a horrible absentee list for 6 weeks, we are supposed to be stronger this season. It simply doesn't add up. I think he's been cloned by a rival team, kidnapped and replaced.

We are stronger in attack, thanks to Salah's arrival. We aren't stronger behind the front four though, and teams have had time to figure out how to counter our style.

Burnout & Buggery.

Yes, Klopp doesn't seem to be a professional in the sense that he can turn up day after day to carry out a job. He's in it more for the adulation of the fans / media to feed his ego, to be the object of everyone's worship, and that drives him on like a drug addict / cult leader. The current lack of adulation must be having a detrimental effect upon his mental health.

We've a very significant absentee out now, I sincerely hope Lallana can effect some positive change when he's back in the midfield.

Quite the apposite.
