Saved us a whole load of agony with the timing of the 3rd. Could have gone either way at that point.

Ox was good today. There I've said it.
69 ya cheeky git..You can't afford to be too picky when you get to 70.
Watch the defenders .. those three were going away from them even with the ball. Awesome.Beautiful. Salah started and finished the move. The speed from the trio of Mane, Salah and Ox was impressive.
Now that is a surprise..Liverpool have scored 14 goals and conceded 1 when Jordan Henderson hasn’t started this season.
1 shot on target 1 goal conceded ... does any keeper in the Premiership have a worse goals per shot ratio than Mr. Ming?
Aaaaaaa hahahahaha!Liverpool have scored 14 goals and conceded 1 when Jordan Henderson hasn’t started this season.
Not enough meat in her

Ayew's shot that hit the post does not count as on target?

There was an article in the "Echo" recently which said that this season Henderson has:
The main problem for Henderson is that he's having to do duty in a deeper position which isn't best suited to his game (though these stats show that he isn't making a total mess of things either, whatever his more unhinged critics - or should that be "critic" singular - would insist on saying).
- Completed more passes than any other Liverpool player;
- Made more accurate passes in the final third than any other Liverpool player;
- Recovered the ball more times than any other Liverpool player; and is
- 2nd to only one other Liverpool player in the list of tackles and interceptions made.
All of those stats are what you expect from a deep lying midfielder. Also they don't mean shit unless compared with other players in the same position in the prem.
Completed most passes?
Made most accurate passes in final third?
We'll that's cap Sideways for ya.

His long passes are mostly useless imo. Alonso did long passes with a purpose, Henderson is more in the Hollywood ball category. Switches the ball to other side but does it ever lead to anything?Balls. The "final third" bit is exactly not "what you expect from a deep lying midfielder" and, for anyone who actually watches what he does out there instead of preselecting what they want to see, his long passing is not at all bad, in fact the most improved part of his skillset. We should improve any part of the team we can, but there are far higher priorities elsewhere.
Can't disagree with that.Even the stat I posted was pointless. It didn't take into account that he played against good sides and was unavailable against worse ones. Those stats you posted are pointless because Lucas used to complete more passes than Messi. But I can't see how anyone who watches him on a regular basis can't be flabbergasted that he's captain of Liverpool Football Club. As a football player he's average at best and as a man he's uninspiring. I find the whole thing depressing. If we had a decent midfield he wouldn't make the bench.

Only if his target was indeed the post.Ayew's shot that hit the post does not count as on target?
When Keita comes he's going to need protection in midfield as well. So a DM is a must.He seems to have lost all his attacking prowess, and any will to try to pick a forward pass. The only offensive weapon in his arsenal is the occasional high lifted cross he love to swing from right to left. Even that is usually aiming at no one in particular.
The games in the past 2 seasons with which he has played well are of him bursting his guts to retrieve balls and his tireless leg work in pressing. Never anything offensive.
He is not a Kante or a Matic. If he is not going to add anything offensive then he is simply not good enough as a defensive mid for us. When Keita comes he will be the one i'll drop from the midfield. Even now i'll have Coutinho, Lallana, Gini and Can over him, with AOC and Milner knocking on the door.
I guess it wasn't, but Mignolet should surely be given aome credit for forcing Ayew to miss his target.Only if his target was indeed the post.
