It was a great goal but why did Gomez dodge the ball? Lanzini got to do what he did because Gomez misread the situation.

I think Lanzini pushed him at the right moment - just enough to win half a yard of space and then control the ball on the chest and lift it over Mignolet into the only area he couldn't reach. It was really brilliant execution.
