Some games his positioning is perfect, others he looks like he's never played centre back in his fucking life.

As far as I could gather it was more a question of a contract wrangle than one of doubt about his ability.

IMO he's a first team option already BTW. I like Moreno, but he's got a lot still to learn and Smith has impressed me this season.
