Allen, whilst an essential cog in the swansea machine....was just that...the cog. He wasn't the spark at the end, he was a part of the build up, not the build up itself. Sahin was/is

Sahin actually played next to sven bender for dortmund in the "2" of a 4-2-3-1

Watch him appear all over the ground though. He is constantly moving, constantly in space, and constantly looking to move the ball.

His best attribute though us how good he is with the ball at his feet. Watch how comfortable he is in possession. Head up all the time, never flustered, truly great touch. He's fucking great.

Our midfield is very balanced, imo.
Lucas - Defensive
Allen - Playmaking
Gerrard - Attacking

Simplistic, I know. But they all have very distinct attributes and fit well into their role in the team.
