I am amazed.... Truly...

People say "wait until the summer. Evaluate the season with Dalglish. Look at available managers and then make a decision. "

People say "it gives the club time to properly plan their vision of the future, whether that's with the King - which does look increasingly likely - or not."

People say "I don't see why there needs to be any rush to make an announcement or indeed a decision"

People say "Then again if we continue this streak, get a CL spot and win the Euro League the decision to keep Dalglish would be made for them by the fans. "

I will not patonize you guys. But you havent got a clue. You expect miracles when it comes to results, with what is highly regarded as a poor squad. But Kenny right now is not about results. It is about pure presence. he took your beloved club out of the dirt and gave it right back at you. Suddenly you felt proud to be red. Suddenløy you kept your high up in footie discussions. Suddenly you started to read interviews of the Liverpool manager with a lifted mood. And you dare to say, wait and see who is available? There is noone available like King Kenny. he is the last samurai. You should cherish every day he is here as if it was his last, because the only bad thing about him is that one day will be his last. You should pray that he stays for 5 more years, and after that it all starts with an S and have a mustache again.

Who could be available better than Kenny? Who?

Kenny is the last of the line who knows 100% what this club is all about and will deliver by that. What does he have to prove to any of you? he won you the league 3 of the 5 last seasons he was here. What else does he need to prove? Nothing. Zip. He is Liverpool FC, and there is no reason to wait.

Your best ever post. Ever. By miles.

Missed that one.

A splendid post Insig. Agree wholeheartedly.

It's a good post Rafa, but ruined by the Babel jibe.

I thought that gave the post some clout 😉

I disagree. There is no pressure on the club to give Kenny a long-term contract at this stage. Kenny says he is happy with the current arrangement, which is what he originally agreed to, and there is little chance of him moving to another club.

If you can keep your options open without losing anything, it's better to do so. Kenny has got off to a fantastic start, but there's no guarantee that things might not go pear-shaped before the end of the season. Why should the club tie itself down to a long-term contract that would be expensive to terminate, when it doesn't have to do so . . . . yet awhile.

Well, youll never see Kenny complain about a short term contract, but I think it would mean a lot to him to be offered a long term one. No he will not move to another club, but he deserves the respect of this club.

And the fact that you say the club is under no pressure at the moment just udnerlines what a fantastic job he has done. A month ago tyhe club was under immense pressure. The biggest one comming from 10.000 empty seats.

How, and it is not to disrespect you just that I am curious, could things go pear shaped before the end of the season? What would it take? That we looses some games? That we goes down? I mean, based on the circumstances, inheriting a "weak" squad, starting closer to relegation than CL, selling the clubs topscorer... What is expected from him?

look at jose at madrid, can make no inroads on them despite his lavishly expensive squad. the deal would be the same at liverpool, he wouldn't have carte blanche with signings and would be up against stronger squads. jose wouldn't come here as he would feel it would tarnish his rep if he failed to succeed.
Eh? Real's record this season is 17-3-2. There's no team in the world that could match Barca at the moment but that's hardly Mourinho's fault.
But still people dont credit Pellegrini for doing an even better job for Real last year, and playing better footie along the way.

Jose is irritating. he got plenty to spend in the summer and strenghtened a very good Real squad... Still he moans about how he needs this and that to be able to compete...
And if you substituted Jose's name above it would sound like an ex manager of ours too....
Haha. Very true. they are more twins than they appreciate!!!

I think history shows that every manager in the Premier League - except possibly Slur Alex - comes under pressure when there is a run of bad results. Like everybody else I am hoping that Kenny can continue the way he has started, but let's face it, there is no such thing as an easy fixture in this league and there is a possibility that we might have another bad run before the season is over. If that happened, people would start to turn against Kenny, including many in this forum!

I'm not saying that this is going to happen, just that there is no point in the club unnecessarily closing off its options.

Hmmm I think the Roy Hodgson period has shown us what to expect. Of course we can have a few games with poor results before the end of the season, but that should not be decisive for if Kenny is awarded the manager or not. He shouldnt be measured on this seasons results, but rather on his presence.

I agree - Kenny said himself that we won't get to the end of the season without losing a match. The transformation under Dalgllish has way exceeded my expectations. If he were to give the slightest hint that he wanted a new contract, I would be the first to say that he should given one. But at the moment he isn't.

I don't have an opinion on this.

I still can't believe that Kenny Dalglish is the Liverpool Manager! I'm just enjoying the moment.

Prior to his appointment, every game was a chore to watch. The results and style of play was dire under Hodgson, but i was more distraught with the fact that Kenny wanted the job and didn't get it.

Now i'm enjoying the games. Next up i want to see our club move up to 5th place on the table. I'm loving the steady progress up the table we have made so far. I'm not going to ruin it by splitting hair on when exactly the decision for long term manager needs to be made. I only want the right decision to be made, when it's made.

It's like the heart of the club had been missing for so long you'd forgotten it was gone. Kennys given the club it's heart back.

I love the fact that kenny is back and has put the smile on our face but c'mon it wasn't doom and gloom under rafa it was pretty much ONE year from hell and then 6 months of even worse hell under roy. a year and a half.

Kenny knows what this club is about, where we should be, and how we go about our business. He's a link to the old bootroom philosophy. Didn't really mean it as a Rafa dig, more just a link to the days when we were great, and a feeling we could get it back.

Loved it 😀

Where epic refers to 6 games?

It's actually amazing.

Michael Thomas is still someone I both like and hate equally.

Well,no.

I still hate him.

The setting up of that video looks like a start of a gay porn video where the three black guys gang rape the white one
