unfortunately i feel that chelsea will be double figure points ahead of us by the time the african cup comes along.

we need to get our game sorted never mind rely on the african cup - if chelsea have a healthy lead in January then there will be no pressure on them without drogba and essien and they'll walk over them mid table/relegation fodder teams that they play then.

i feel that utd will continue to fade and the only real competitors chelsea will have will be arsenal until they come across a team that kicks them back a bit over winter and we'll see arsenal self destruct.

chelsea title for me. i've seen nothing this season to suggest otherwise

Did anyone think it was a poor game? I fell asleep towards the end of the first half. woke up and had dinner then fell asleep midway through second half. thought utd had a very poor team out yet chelsea struggled to beat them

Our abysmal start of the Season aside we are still very much in the run for the title.

Having watch the game last night I'm still mostly underwhelmed with both United and the Chavs.

United looked a weakened team by the start of the Season and even though they've collected more points than us so far it's obvious they will struggle to keep up if they aren't to invest heavily in the squad come January.

And yet they managed to be the better side against the Chavs, playing at their ground?

I must admit I'm finding it hard to fall on my arse in awe when watching the Russian's team these days. Although having arguably the best squad in the league they are just so one-dimensional it's unreal.

They'll drop points everywhere and so will United.

We are in desperate need for a win tonight and another failure to do so will harm us incredibly, but can we get ourselves back on track starting tonight, we'll be upthere come May. Without any shadow of doubt.

PS I'm not sure whether anyone has commented on it yet but Evans' Ninja-drop-kick on Drogba last night was downright awful. I hope he gets banned for life.

Drogba's the boy who cried wolf though isn't he ? If he wasn't such a consitently cheating fucker then maybe refs would believe him once in a blue moon. He's dug his own hole and now has to lie in it. Was a bad tackle though.
