I will never understand the hype around stones. He just looks shit. I don't even know how he gets picked for England.

Because he's an English defender who is comfortable stepping out with the ball apparently. Never mind the stream of defensive clangers. He can pass the ball thirty yards, easy.

Enjoyed the Man City result.

Obvious problems there, although most of us predicting that Bravo and that defence would struggle after his very first couple of games.

Conceding four today, after shipping three in the Chelsea game, means they've now conceded even more goals than us.

Hopefully we can keep a clean sheet tomorrow and score a few to try and keep up with Arsenal and Chelsea, and put some distance between us and Man City

Bravo is very poor

Yeah. He's looked a totally hapless cunt from his very first game, and thankfully he's not really got any better

I'm delighted he's their number one.

Stones keeps making mistakes too, so they'll keep dropping points. Hopefully we can sort our own defence out and stay ahead of them, but it's going to be hard for them to win the title when they have such a poor defence, even with all their billions

Has missing Sterling, Aguero, Otamendi and Fernando anything to do with it?

Conceding 4 goals hasn't got much to do with those four missing, given that two are attackers, one is a defender who is quite erratic at defending, and the other one has started about two games this season

I bet one is better than having a fullback at CB and the other one was supposed to be Fernandinho before auto correct fucked me over.

Did not watch MOTD - but did they even hint on TV or other places in the media that City to win the title need to sort their defense out and without that they cannot win the title - you know guys the sort of shit things everyone says about us even when we go 15 games unbeaten - still that thought lingers in everyone's mind. Did they even mention that for City was it just - well Pep needs to tell his players to perform more consistently as opposed to saying - they need new defenders - you know again the sort of shit everyone says about us when we go 15 games unbeaten.

Everyone says City's defence and goalkeeper is shit, and has been all season really

Their defence has been as roundly and correctly criticised as ours, we're both very fragile defensively

I said Bravo was going to be a liability from the very first game, too.

Again, so did almost everyone else.

Ok - they like spent a zillions of quid on their squad - including back-line. I have always believed that defenders are shit regardless when they don't have two defensive type midfielders in front of them. It seems that this season the only team that has struck the right balance could be Arsenal. Chelsea are purely counter-attack based - classic Italian style tactics - tighten the lock at the back old school style. Are Arsenal's defense solid this season ? - seems like it.

Oh yeah. Totally forgot him.

Ballague was in the studio over here yesterday and said Guardiola doesnt have the centre backs, full backs or wingers yet that he needs.
People shouldnt be writing him off to early, thats just silly. One of the best managers in the World regardless.
But so far their transfer recruitment has been very average. 50 mill for Stones, Bravo doesnt look up to it and how long will it take for Sane and Gabriel Jesus to adapt.
Gundogan has been brilliant.

Can see them splashing the cash for Grimaldo soon, and then they'll have one of the top left back prospects out there aswell.

At this rate they could easily finish outside the top 4 this season. Not that it would matter to much to them mind.

I wish someone would hurry up & give Arsenal a good kicking so their fragile psyches can crack & they can resume their annual race to fourth place success.

Unfortunately they have city next week I think, so it won't be that soon.

Still think Guardiola has been a bit unlucky with injuries. Now he's got to deal with suspensions and injuries.
But you know the great thing about it all?
They'll all be fit for fight when we play them in a few weeks.

This is a bit weird though:

Pep on being told MCFC didn't win a tackle in first 35 mins: 'I'm not coaching tackles. I'm not training for tackles ... what's tackles?'

Arsenal's wheels generally start falling off after Xmas. As a matter of interest, do they lose any players to the Africa Nations cup? I don't think they have the biggest squad around so with one or two missing and a couple of injuries to key personnel, they should hit their normal rocky patch.

He should have gotten the second, went with his feet for the first for some reason and while the 3rd and 4th weren't his fault, he was a bit flat footed.

I don't think they miss anyone that important no

So ballbag thinks we can't judge him until he spends another billion.
