Spoken by the poster who spent all his time in the Rafa years, slagging off the manager had us in the CL, year after year. If Rodgers was successful, or Laudrup, I still think you'd have a few words of discontent!
City, Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs.
Biggest outlay this transfer window. Of course there's a mountain to climb.
Just cos they didnt buy our best players doesnt mean we dont have some top class players, I think you know that Ross.
Skrtel & Agger would not look out of place in any of those club's sides at all, the fact they're here doesnt make them worse.
Bang on, as usual. You're oversimplifying things again Ross. I don't know whether you do this purposely to get the most bang for your buck reaction-wise but I would've thought by now we'd have gotten past the sensationalist approach.
It's all well and good to say that managers don't matter and that all the players we have are useless but it's taking a very black and white view of things and respecting only part of the equation.
We have players that are rated for good reason. They are playing in a dysfunctional team and have been for a couple years. That doesn't necessarily make them bad. If Agger had've gone to City, played well and won the title, would that suddenly make him a different player to the one we're seeing at Liverpool now? Less overrated? No. Players, managers, teams and systems matter to varying degrees in different environments. Creating the right balance for our particular environment is the problem and Liverpool have been failing for some time.
As for selling anyone for a price, I wouldn't be averse to that if I had any faith in the management. Your approach relies on intelligent, innovative and strategic thinkers leading the club. We don't have those and we know this for a fact because if we did a) Comolli wouldn't have been appointed and fired within the space of a year, b) we'd have a stronger CEO and c) we wouldn't be in the mess we find ourselves in now.
So in the reality we actually exist in, we need to be a little more pragmatic.
He took over Swansea in the summer and with a smaller budget than us and has them at the top end of the league. He doesn't appear to need time to lay down his philosophy and get the players playing the way they need to.
We on the other hand hired the up and coming football genius that Rodgers is and with a bigger budget have contrived to become worse. Why does Rodgers need time and Laudrup doesn't ?
How is that four managers on the trot now have appeared to turn shit while coaching us ?
You can shorten that to SS-ST. It may end up as cool as AT-AT or AT-ST.What a snivelling sneering steaming turd of a thread.

Laudrup took over a side that Rodgers had the time to shape into 'his' side, he's reaping the rewards of the style that Rodger instilled in the club. Rodgers just took over a side with confidence that's been twatted all over the show for the last three years (and as recently as two days ago).
Well done for missing the wood, again. So Rodgers has turned to shit after three games?
You're missing the wood Mark. Rodgers is irrelevant.
What is important is the players. And I constantly read about how good they are, but never actually see it myself. A large section of the fanbase is a bit deluded.
I think Agger is our only top class player
You know Jon it's easier for someone to say the manager is fucked because his team are shite rather than the original poster going round the houses to make out he's got all the answers whilst presenting none and, at the same time, referring to those who's opinion may have the temerity to differ from his as being moronic cunts. It's fucking lame.
