Could have been a straight red. Stupid twat, was nasty that, much worse than a sliding tackle that simply takes a players feet from under him that gets so decried in the media nowadays.

He used Owen's Newcastle celebration. Except he missed two of his three chances. Douche on every level

Took one touch too many but seeing as Borini & sterling were the outlets I don't blame him, neither look like scoring (I'm aware sterling has scored, yet miraculously, he still doesn't look like scoring!)

Well, we've managed to make what should have been a big confidence boosting game, before a semi final, into a pretty flaky performance.

Ok solid performance. Magic does offer a threat going forward. Lucas class. Pleased for joe

Solid performance.

Really?? Personally I thought we were sloppy from about half an hour into the game. Some stunningly stupid mistakes as well. And as much as I appreciate the reasoning behind Rodgers' philosophy about playing out from the back, in games like this, after 20 minutes or so, it was set up for an old-style remorseless attacking style, but repeatedly we went backwards, slowed it down and almost nursed Newcastle back into the game. More negatives than plusses for me tonight.

We are still lacking a lot of confidence as a team - so my expectations are low. I think we did a lot of stuff throughout the game, but yes, a lot of times where we slowed down the game unnecessarily.

I am a bit disappointed Rodgers didn't throw young Cameron (as he probably calls him) on for a 5-7 minute cameo.

It's also worth noting we're a bit decimated at the back. I'm loathed to talk about stretching the squad, we've spent enough money, but we're clearly without a few good players who at the top of their game would have seen us walk away with a more comfortable win. Not the greatest performance, but given the suspensions, injuries and the lack of a real striker out there (I know), it wasn't that bad.
