No. I's just been repeated repeatedly.

I heard some awful London hack on the radio this afternoon, who'd clearly been waiting all this time for the chance to start his anti-Klopp campaign, twisting every comment to claim things that weren't meant at all. For example, Klopp said 'It's not allowed from now on to lose at home to these kinds of teams,' meaning the players must change and compete against them properly, but this hack, ludicrously, tried to make out Klopp was trying to ban Pulis and co from getting a fair game. If Klopp managed a London team the media honeymoon would go on for the best part of a year - or longer if he won something - like it did with Mourinho, no matter how outrageous he was. It's no surprise Klopp's starting to get it now, but it will only encourage a useful siege mentality.

Carra got it. His comments about thanking the fans after the final whistle was spot on.

Craig Burley though. What a fucking joke of a pundit. Always has been. Fair enough to disagree with it but to call it sickeningly to watch.Christ.
Poor player but even worse as a pundit.

Thats the game were stuck in now. In previous decades it was mostly the case that only the players with a bit of personality (like them or loath them) went in to punditry (supplemented by those with mates in the right places). Now with "media training" and pervasive over inflated view of their own abilities there's a whole raft.

Those like Burley have figured out that you have to be "controversial" to stand out from the crowd, and with Talksport leading the charge of what is basically the equivalent of over-the-airwaves clickbait, there's no shortage of outlets for fuckwits to get their views heard.

What's a shithouse?

Strictly speaking it's an outside toilet, such as used to be in the yards of terraced houses. The term came to be applied to an unpleasant person.

"Built like a brick shithouse" is a common description for a sturdy person around here. 🙂

I'm not sure how all that applies to Mignolet. For one thing, he's not "built like a brick shithouse." 🙂

What's a shithouse?

I was using it in its cowardly form. A variation of shitbag. That seems to be its popular usage around these parts but I admit there is a lot of possible uses of the term which could lead to confusion. Apologies.

A shithouse in Liverpool means a proper coward.

In this case it refers to his reluctance to put his body on the line (for instance by ploughing through defenders at corners), & also his inability to make hard but correct decisions.

In this context a "shithouse" is someone who is a spineless bottler. A coward. Someone on a football pitch who jumps out of the way of a 50:50 tackle is commonly known as a shithouse.

It can also be used to describe someone who has a general tendency towards "shithouse behaviour" - sneaky, sly, mean-spirited, thuggish and stupid.

Thanks, everyone. Now you can resume the regular service 🙂

The thing about Ming, he does play with fear at times, clearly, but at other times he's quite brave. He put his body on the line quite a few times, diving head first into the striker's feet or saving a point-black shot with his face. I am not sure he has it in him to be a consistently world-class player, but under the right circumstances he can produce a world-class season.
