We were great until they scored. This result could be a good thing if it allows us to shake a few things up. There are a few players that could look hungrier and I still don't see any leadership on the pitch.

We're not doomed, but its not hysterical to be worried about how well we'd follow up on the completely improbable season we had last year.
We look equally as poor in defense, and we are less productive in attack for the most simple reasons. Perhaps that will change if Balotelli slots in well, and we see more balanced, strong wing play with better full backs. But if it doesn't, we could lose a lot of momentum as teams cease to fear us quite as much, while simultaneously knowing they have a decent chance of getting some unforced errors or a goal the other way.
