Really tough on the team going behind. Moreno at fault not being aware of Jovetic lurking. But Glenjo is finished.... His only strengths was his attacking thrusts. Now in doubt, he just flicks into the general direction in hope.

I think the team has played well bar Moreno for that terrible error (if he's good, he'll learn fast from it) and Johnson being absolutely fucking useless as usual. Allen, Henderson and Gerrard have held the midfield well and Gerrard has had to cover Johnson's ass at least 3 times while the useless guy took his time jogging back. While Sterling and Coutinho haven't been as incisive or effective as we'd have liked on the opposite end, we have to remember who the opponents are that we're playing. We've had some decent looks nonetheless.

There are more goals to come in this game yet. Hopefully it's us with an equalizer first, because I can see us conceding another when it gets late in the game and we're still chasing a leveler.

i think carra and neville were banging on last week about the power/physicality that City and Chelsea have and why it's the reason they will be the teams to beat. And you can sort of see it tonight , i thought we were playing the better stuff but you just get that feeling they could always 'force' a goal and that's what they did .

That's a good point actually. He's getting swamped as soon as he's on the ball and it's forcing him to pass it too early leading to a mistake. Sturridge needs to put himself about a bit more.

A few times, he's not really ran back when City were on the counter ... When you're no longer an attacking threat as a FB (it happens), then at least give your all defensively.
