It's really surprising actually - his fall from grace.

He used to buy upstarts, proven and all kinds of players and work with them very well and players wanted to really play for him. Essien, Drogba were all long term plans. Definitely not short term plans. But at United, his signings are so woefully bad. It's either that are players who sign for him, lose the stomach to play for him immediately after that.

Even in his second stint at Chelsea he brought in players like Willian, Schurrle, Salah, Pedro, Zouma, Loic Remy, Fabregas, Begovic, Matic, Diego Costa. While some of them were already proven football stars not all of them could be put in the same bracket. He bought all kinds of players...short term/long term whatever, he didn't really leave a bad club behind. May be he ruined relationships and the players there were not willing to play for him, but he most certainly didn't leave behind a shit group of players.

So this United board's position to not support him in the transfer market is baffling....anyway, long may it continue.

I don't know what's happened to Mourinho, is it just age?

He seems so unhappy, miserable and jaded compared to the manager who arrived at Chelsea and effortlessly owned the league and everything around it. OK, yeah, he's always been a massive cunt and a whining hypocrite, but back then he was also witty and had a glint in his eye.

And he seems to have forgotten the basics of man management and how to inspire a team. At Chelsea he brought in his "trusted lieutenants" like Carvalho, and ensured the influential players in the dressing room - Lampard, Cech, Terry, Drogba - were fully signed up to the Cult of Mourinho.

Compare that to what he's done with Pogba - instead of making him his unofficial Number Two, and key dressing room leader, he's alienated his most expensive signing and world cup winning Captain, and created his own Fifth Column in the team, with its most influential player at the head of it.

That, allied with his bitching about transfers, slating most of his current squad, and playing some turgid football makes this seem increasingly untenable unless something pretty remarkable happens - if your players don't like you, they won't play for you.

That was a far different game he was playing then so of course he was happier, first off he had just won the CL with Porto and so must have actually felt rather "special" secondly he was walking into a Chelsea team under full Abramovich mode who had just finished second under Ranieri and had already signed up Robben and Duff... to say he was in good luck was to understate it. Chelsea were financially highly appealing to all players at the time, including our own Captain...

Now it literally is a different game and his swagger and bravado just doesn't fit. They are not the only team able to purchase the league, they are nowhere near the best team to watch nor play in.

One of the reasons Mourinho has so many trophies is because he is a very sore loser. Before Mourinho he could buy whomever he wanted, now he cannot and he is sulking like a spoilt child who knows he will lose.

When you mix in the numerous poor signings, the dull style of play that the locals don't like, your billionaire neighbours playing fantastically well, and your clubs traditional rival making it deep into the CL and playing excellent attractive footy... yep... that's one miserable Maureen.

Que ? What has how many games played got anything to do with anything ? We are talking about this coming season, and if you have been paying attention then you'll know that everyone seems to be claiming that Klopp needs to deliver after spending ca. £170m.

Everyone but Liverpool supporters.....

Im just saying that the knives are out for Mourinho but in reality its all a load of media bullshit to put him under pressure.... as per.

You could say either, tbf Jose does seem to have lost the players a bit, but thats just typical of the generation of footballers today, well at least some.... seems they have some bad eggs in that camp who down tools when the going gets tough. Then as soon as the media and twattersphere smell blood they are like a bunch of sharks waiting for their next meal.

Its a shitty job if you arent doing well at the top.... but I spose the ££££ makes up for it.

He's lost the players at nearly every club he's been at.

I think the club have pretty much sided with Pogba and crew.
Hazard was being a shit at Chelsea and the team underperformed for him and he was sacked. It'll no doubt be the same as manu I just hope it
A last as long as possible and all sorts of people are missed off
B they employ another dud manager after him

If they want to spend a large amount of money in January, they'd get rid of him and let the new manager get to work. If they do not want to spend money, then they'd get rid of him just to use that as an excuse for not arranging any new signings. He's gone around Christmas time.

Surely it depends who identifies the targets? Who they've bought doesn't fit the system. Who's at fault? The serial winner, or the guy who has struggled with 3 different managers.
We need that dislike button NOW. 'Serial winner' ... puke

I hope they don't sell Pogs because I think they'd get 100m+ from an European team and would reinvest it with someone who isn't an erratic cunt.

He's a good player, and under a more attacking manager he could thrive. I don't know which would be better for us; keeping Jose or keeping pogba

He's good, but he's not 100m good. He's also very inconsistent and very rarely a match winner. I love seeing him in their team. Yes - he can be a match winner, but he rarely is and you know there is always a great chance that the useless Pogs will turn up and that is good enough for me!

Defo a Manc.

Pogba is one of this new breed of players that has built his reputation and hype through Instagram and video games, rather than what he does on the pitch. He's not very good.

Even for France in the world cup he went missing for large portions of games. He has a terrible mentality, and while being technically and physically impressive, he's far too inconsistent. A better manager and system would have him performing at a higher level, but it's not as though he was tearing it up in Russia in the summer. Wildly overrated player.

I read it as JJ did at first, but then I realised he probably meant as Brendan said.

I still think he's a Manc, mind you.
