I think he meant Cahill, not Stones.

Cahill?
VVD would be better than at least 3 but probably all of those - and they play 3 at the back so with injuries and rotation (4 comps) yes, 5 CBs are required.Chelsea have Rudiger, Stones, sideshow bob and Azpilicueta at the back, so they want 5 first choice CB's do they?

Ah, finally the auction which Southampton always wanted. Expect Man City to come, too.
No.Why would City suddenly be interested because it's an auction? That makes no sense at all.
They did just loan Zouma and there's that Christensen guy

I wonder. What about if there is no interest from chelski what so ever, but his agent has released this story. Then we can put a bid in, saying we were just responding to the news chelski were bidding, all being fake news.
Is it really official that he turned them down? I've not heard this.I'd be a bit surprised if Chavski renewed their interest now. Van Dijk's already turned them down and Conte doesn't strike me as a manager who'd go back in for a player in those circs. If they had retained a serious interest I can't imagine they'd have moved for Rüdiger, who's good but not VVD's standard, not yet anyway.

He said the same about Keita "club want to get ducks in a row"
Oh ok fair enough. I've already pretty much given up on the van dijk deal tbh.He said the same about Keita "club want to get ducks in a row"
Dude knows shit all.
Exactly, then it's completely up to Virgil.VVD also has a say in this you know. If we match Chelsea's bid. They can't force him to go to CFC just as he's not able to force a move without their acquiescence. I'm not sure CFC are in the City/United bracket any more as far as salaries or transfer fees are concerned so don't see any advantage there.
In fact if you look at their history over the past couple years they are not splashing out - I think David Luiz was their last major purchase (relative to the market), Morata wasn't expensive for a good striker in this market.
Welcome to the club.I think he meant Cahill, not Stones.

"Look out there and tell me five that would make us stronger. Five. Then you win a prize. It's difficult how it is," said Klopp, following Liverpool's 3-1 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
Oh dear Klopp!

So Klopp thinks there are not 5 CB's in the world better than ours?! lolz. There's about a dozen better in our league mate.
And because people know we've got that sort of budget to play with the fees being demanded will go through the roof. The club has handled another transfer window really badly but to go chasing our tails now with bids for players the manager didn't want in the first place would just compound the problem and impact the budget for the next, hopefully better window. I'd prefer to wait to get the players we want than be held to ransom with over the odds bids for alternatives. For the money being touted that were going to bid for VVG and Keita, there will be shitloads we could have been in for/could still be in for.
