US Election thread - Kamala v Donald

I really am. How dumb.
Sorry man, I just felt that Kamala came in too late. The Dems messed up just like they did with Hillary.
Biden should never have been chosen as the candidate in the first place.

I'm so bored by how pathetic politics is now, but why would anyone want to be US president in this atmosphere? Militias wandering about suburbs and the chance of you getting assassinated about 60/40.

Also as has been pointed out before, it's not even about politics any more. It's closer to reality TV or the x factor than an actual policy debate.

It's like a never-ending South Park episode these days.

I remember watching the Dukes of Hazzard on TV in 80s with all the Conferderate symbolism as mainstream normality.

I for one welcome our new overlord in Donald J Trump. (Uuuuggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!)

Remember, the prophecy always said the 45th president would be the last in the United States.

What comes next?

They think its all over....

It is now.

Oh well, at least inflation has immediately ended for Americans. And the war in Ukraine will be over in 24hrs too.

At this point you just have to think that they think the World is ending soon and just enjoy the last ride with a lunatic in charge. The worst part of all this is JD Vance. Jeezzzess.

Well, he wanted the job and it would have been difficult, if not impossible, to deny a sitting President the chance to run. Apart from that, though, I suspect the strategy was always to prepare the ground for Kamala. They had her in mind all the time but didn't think the country was yet ready for a woman President (rightly enough as it's turned out) and were hoping a stint as VP would help her overcome that. It might have worked if Kamala herself were a more individually impressive figure, but she just wasn't - if she had been, we'd all have seen a lot more of her and a lot less of Biden while they were in office.

Yeah, female black/Indian president? No, not in my lifetime.
Obama was biracial and male which matters I guess.
I'm sorry my American friends but your country is a bit backwards
