Ugly Gaga

Excellent stuff Portly. I would go see a Gaga show if she came to Winnipeg (and I happened to be back in the city). I went to see Justin Timberlake last year with a girl and it was one of the best concerts I'd ever seen mostly due to the lavish set and effects, tight setlist, and even tighter audience.

Portly, I would just like to say that your unbridled enthusiasm for Lady Gaga on this thread has really warmed the cockles of my heart.

I salute you sir.

This thread has been a rollercoaster ride of derision, joy, minge and floppy breasts.

A great read.

Glad you enjoyed the show Ports, your enthusiasm for Gaga is clear for all to see. I thought you may have been on the wind up at the start but you really do love this chick. So kudos for sticking to your guns.

Thanks boys, I am so glad I didn't let you down. I wore my trendiest gear which is an off-white suit and my braces concealed with a tasteful stripey pullover from Tesco Direct. I spent most of the time on my feet, following GaGa's commands by waving my hands and jumping as appropriate. At one stage my left leg got slightly numb and I thought that maybe I was having a stroke, but the numbness went off again.

P.s. Lady Gaga over the top, dont be ridiculous!

LOL I know part of the charm of Lady GaGa is that she is so OTT but for me, it's enough that she sings those great songs and removes plenty of clothing. Magnificent as the special effects were, I would have been just as happy to see my idol without her going to all that expense.

Oh.My.God - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL !!!

Very good, I've been giggling for the last 5 minutes over this post portly. Glad you enjoyed it.

Did you see Semi Precious Weapons on before Alphabeat?

At a guess I'd say Portly was probably the only heterosexual male there last night.

Glad you enjoyed it Ports.

Hello chaps!

I overslept and didn't get up until 9.30 - it must have been exhaustion after my session with Lady GaGa.

Bradley - I don't think Semi-precious Weapons were on last night. When we arrived there was some bloke on stage shouting "Lady fucking GaGa" over and over again but I shouldn't think he counted as a band. After Alphabeat finished their set, the lights went on and there was a long break while the roadies were setting up the complicated scenery for Lady GaGa's "Monster Ball." It must have been nearly an hour we were waiting but it was worth it.

That was the band i was talking about. Caused a major shit-storm on the local radio the next day as they were pretty close to the bone if you had a kid with you.

Don't suppose you were 'close to the bone' Portly?

LOL ;D If that foul-mouthed bloke counted as a band, I don't think he has a big future in show business! I didn't detect one note of music in the entire performance. As you know, I am not sensitive to bad language but I can understand that if any parents took their kids, they could have been upset.

I am always close to the bone, Bradley! But I usually get away with it. 8)

Thank you DHSC! :-[

The pic Cerberus has posted shows that it is always a mistake to order the Lobster Thermidore!

;D

Or maybe not in your case, my dear chap. 😉

Lobster Thermidore is just far too fiddly to eat, Jules. They give you a special pair of tongs to attack it with, but in the end you wish you had ordered a nice steak like everybody else! ;D

She stayed at the Hope St Hotel.

A mate saw her leaving after work.

I'm sorry I couldn't provide this information sooner, Portly.

Thanks for the info Squiggles! Celebs seem to like staying at the Hope Street Hotel - possibly because it is an upstairs "boutique" hotel where they are more free from prying eyes.

My nephew told me that Lady GaGa treated all her support people to a tenpin bowling session at the Hollywood Bowl in Edge Lane, and they then went over to the Macdonalds nearby for a meal. I wish I had been around at the time. :🙂

filthy bitch.

She shoved the lobster up her fanny and crow's foot up her arse? Yeah that's what I was thinking too.

Yeah, I've also heard the bowling info off several girls.

Thinking about it, I need to hang with more interesting people.

I also heard both Hope Street and Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood Bowl is a punishment not a treat!

What's wrong with it?

I've got some work night out there in a month and I haven't been before.

I'm not a huge fan of bowling.

Down Portly, he was generalising

LOL I have often been to the Hollywood Bowl and it is perfectly OK.

I think bowling alleys are all more or less the same thing. 🙂

Thanks for the link, Bradley! I enjoyed that, and the critical comments from the "Guardian" reading schoolteachers on the blog. Those bastards would ban Christmas like Oliver Cromwell did, if they got the chance.

"I told you she hasn't gotta dick!" That will go down as one of the great lines from Hollywood, like "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!" Such a pity they had to pixellate out the evidence. 🙁

I thought the rapper chap richly deserved to be poisoned, but it's a bit of a mystery why Gaga had to go on to poison everybody in the diner. It smacked of rather distasteful one-upmanship between two great artists.

Beyoncé shouldn't have thrown the half-eaten sandwich out of the car. It sets a bad example to our youngsters.

As to the song, "Telephone" ..... well it is quite professional and catchy as we would expect from Lady Gaga but I don't think it's her best.

🙂
