Ugly Gaga

He must be recovering, the boy is back from giving Portly a lift, but said they (Portly and eldest sons GF) did not get out until later than expected.

I am keen too. I might text him in a mo.

regards

'What did a middle-aged man think of a hermaphrodite in concert'.

I've held on for better things in my life if I'm honest.

Well, this is the 8th page of a thread about, said, "hermaphrodite", so you didn't really have to concern yourself with it.

LOL!! Here I am, chums!

The Lady GaGa concert was fabulous. It was my first visit to the Echo Arena and I thought it was just right. Not so big that GaGa was just a dot in the distance, as will be the case for many when she gets to the O2 Arena.

The support band was Alphabeat, who turned out to be pretty good - the girl singer sounds a bit like Duffy.

GaGa's show was totally spectacular, with lavish special effects including the flaming piano which I posted on this thread, and a giant sea monster that attempted to eat Lady GaGa towards the end, although he seemed to find her a bit gristly as she didn't disappear inside it. It was all supposed to be a kind of pantomime on the theme of going to the Monsters Ball, but if there was a story it didn't hang together very well. In the course of all this, Lady Gaga sang all her favourite hits which created rapture among the audience which I would estimate was around 80% delicious young ladies whose hormones were flowing free - I could smell the oestrogen.

To be completely frank, although Lady GaGa has been heading towards a super-spectacular show for a long time, I thought it was a bit over-the-top. The music is good enough to stand on its own. Although I had a wonderful time, I preferred her singing the same songs at Glastonbury last year. 🙂

did you get the feeling that an orgy could kick off at any moment?

No, it wasnt in Pod.

Thanks boys, I am so glad I didn't let you down. I wore my trendiest gear which is an off-white suit and my braces concealed with a tasteful stripey pullover from Tesco Direct. I spent most of the time on my feet, following GaGa's commands by waving my hands and jumping as appropriate. At one stage my left leg got slightly numb and I thought that maybe I was having a stroke, but the numbness went off again.

LOL I know part of the charm of Lady GaGa is that she is so OTT but for me, it's enough that she sings those great songs and removes plenty of clothing. Magnificent as the special effects were, I would have been just as happy to see my idol without her going to all that expense.

Actually I thought the audience was great, bro. Those girls were all nicely-dressed and well-behaved. When Lady GaGa sang "Speechless" at the flaming piano, she invited the audience to take over, and they all sang the song very well. Lady Gaga congratulated them on learning the words in such a short time.

I didn't know the words because I am not that fanatical that I would sit and learn them by heart! ;D

Hmmm Sister Sledge, they somehow seem to be slightly more attractive than I remember.
1979, I had been married a year then.

When she says "sisters" does she mean it in an ethnic sense or family one?

Lady Gaga said that she loved us so much.

Howver, being a fan, I was not particularly impressed by this, because I know she says that everywhere she goes. :🙂
