I suspect he'll do another season at full back, but fill in at midfield for some games with the aim to bed him in gradually as well as give us cover in a couple of positions.I wouldn't be surprised if Gomez and Clyne are the right backs for next season with Trent, a la Milner, training as and playing the midfielder role
Cup games have Trent in midfield written all over them next season.I suspect he'll do another season at full back, but fill in at midfield for some games with the aim to bed him in gradually as well as give us cover in a couple of positions.
The only reason why I am not so sure that will happen is the way Klopp treated Milner last season.I suspect he'll do another season at full back, but fill in at midfield for some games with the aim to bed him in gradually as well as give us cover in a couple of positions.
True. Although, perhaps he's just not good at defending right footed wingers playing on the left, looking to cut inside?I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but something else that's so impressive about this kid, before the City game he had been destroyed publically by how poorly he dealt with both Rashford and Zaha, instead of letting that destroy his confidence, he came back stronger and completely bossed probably the best out and out winger in the league, that's a massive credit to him, and suggests he's going to keep getting better.
Leroy Sane is double footed and came inside a lot during those games, TAA worked on defender these players, and definitely improved.True. Although, perhaps he's just not good at defending right footed wingers playing on the left, looking to cut inside?

Argentinian.So, he’s Brazilian.

In a couple of years he'll be one of the best players in the league, no matter where he plays.
He's what manure thought they were getting when they spent 100 on Bogpa.
Potato potatoArgentinian.
I didn’t think Flanno looked superb at all.This. I think most would have been happy to see him benched if we had Clyne fully fit before the last 3 games.
He's young so I expect ups and downs but he took that criticism in his stride which bodes very well.
Long way to go mind, flanno looked superb in 13/14 and look how he turned out
I didn’t think Flanno looked superb at all.
He did well defending in most cases but was obviously a very limited player.
He was a solid enough right back, buy offered fuck all else.I didn’t think Flanno looked superb at all.

Don’t mistake the euphoria around a local kid doing well for himself versus everyone thinking he was the best rb around.*searches for the Spurs away thread 13/14
You, again, went against the grain and laid into a local lad, a young one at that, that was doing well for himself. The amount of flack I got for saying that he was shit...smh
I didn't say that he was back then, I'm saying it now, because I couldn't be arsed wording his shit-ness in more than one word. Yes, of course I used sentences like "not talented enough", "not Liverpool standard" or "not ready" etc to describe him because he WAS a kid. He's now a grown ass wife beater. You, again, went against the grain and laid into a local lad, a young one at that, that was doing well for himself.
Saying we could do better than a Flanno might have garnered a very different reaction than ‘he’s shit’.
Seeing as you seem to care, something to think about.
You’re not in the minority. I agree.I know im in the minority on this forum but i hope he stays as a RB. I see no reason to move him at all. He's improving every season, and these days a good fullback that can attack and defend are invaluable.
I’ve no idea what point you’re trying to make there. Also, saying he's shit is a bit subjective isn't it?
I mean compared to me he's fucking Cafu.
Compared to Cafu he's fucking shit.
That's starting to make more and more sense, but he needs to make the move pretty soon if it's ever going to happen.I know im in the minority on this forum but i hope he stays as a RB. He only played in midfield at academy level. Since the U-18's he's been playing RB. Ashley Cole was a striker in the academy and then become a LB.You’re not in the minority. I agree.
But then I’ve never watched him play in midfield. If he’s miles better in the middle, then it would make sense to bring him inside.
If he’s ready I imagine Klopp will test him in the domestic cups.
If it is going to happen, its not going to be anytime soon. I can see him competing with clyne at RB next season and physically he's definitely not ready. So are we going to build him into a quality RB and then switch him a few years down the line? I just can't see that happening. That's starting to make more and more sense, but he needs to make the move pretty soon if it's ever going to happen.
