How is that excellent? Do you mean excellent as "we can't do any better"?
If you add Sanchez to that list or Muriel, is it still excellent?

You know why think it's meh? Because none of them will significantly improve our starting XI. Hence marquee signing.

Have you watched Muriel this year at all? Just wondering.

Yep a few games here and there, trouble with injuries this season...AGAIN!

Maybe we should stay away...
I really wanted Konoplyanka to join.
I would have liked Konoplyanka too, but I can understand why Rodgers prefers a versatile AM over a winger (unless it's a wing-forward in the mould of Sanchez, who'd frankly just play like a striker in our system).

Exactamundo!

Yah - I watched him a few times, and he just seemed off every time ... He will probably stay another year at Udinese as he's just not shown enough due to all the health issues. That being said, the talent is there and maybe with his value down, we should poach.

Yup - he's the future of Italy's front line with the Insigne.

I read a while ago that Rafa has been giving Insigne the Babel/Cisse treatment - playing him out wide rather than through the middle.

I just also saw that he scored just 3 goals last season. Any chance of Rafa selling him to us on the cheap?

Could be a Coutinho/Sturrige type deal - and Insigne has the talent to be like Alexis Sanchez.

I have no idea if Rafa rates him - but if he doesn't, the kid should probably move to a league which has a better track record for Italians!

Liverpool are leading the chase to sign £30million-rated Cesc Fabregas who is determined to return to England after Barcelona made it clear they are willing to sell him.
The relatively low fee for the 27-year-old midfielder, who was confirmed as part of Spain’s World Cup squad on Saturday, will tempt several Premier League clubs, but the Anfield side have a real chance of signing him because they are in the Champions League next season.

Well that's bollocks, Arsene will have him back & he'll go there all day before coming to us.

Even if he looks interested it'll just be to get the wages he wants out of Arsenal.

Yeah I'd pay £30 million for a 27 year old world class player. Is Lallana world class now? Give me a break.

The supposed Barca 'wishlist': Marquinhos (PSG), Cuadrado (Viola), Koke (Atleti) & Kun (City.

That shuold cost them around 140 million euros or so ... Good luck with that.

Arent if we paying 25 million for Adam, which isn't far off cesc fee, unless its Lucas going the other way...

Meaning what exactly?

Meaning he can't help but have a self-righteous dig at what was obviously a tongue-in-cheek comment by Jimmy.

As said, we've offered £25m tops at the moment for Lallana and this is all when assuming that Cesc would be remotely interested in coming here, or that we would be remotely interested in paying him probably twice what we'd pay Lallana.

If we sell Borini for 10m we will have to pay DOUBLE that to get a quality replacement back up.
I dont get why we would let him go. He scores and works hard.
I dont want to replace half our squad.
2 or 3 great signings and we have a real chance.

Well, technically he wasn't part of our squad last season anyways.

And I reckon 10-15M buys us someone better than Borini.
