He wouldn't fit at all, which would make him a logical idea, to mix it up. Mr. Rodgers has shown great intelligence and a bit of humility in changing from his 'Death By Football' to the showpieces we watched last season. But, perhaps the Chelsea calamity has got him thinking an ugly win is still a win. I'm not suggesting playing anything like during the horror reign of Hodgson or the anti-football of Mourihno, instead perhaps a few times a season for the last quarter of a game mixing up attacking on the ground, as we do, with a few balls lobbed in to the likes of Lambert. It might, or might not, have prevented me crying into the champagne flute this year. He certainly would have had a different affect than the unfortunate Aspas.
He doesnt look out of sorts in a good Soton team that press high and play a decent passing game. I was surprised by how good his touch on the ball was away to City.
15 goals in 12/13 and 13 goals and 10 assists last season is decent..
Starting to like this idea with him as our 3rd striker. Local lad and a massive Liverpool fan aswell. Dont underestimate that.

100% agree, Southampton have no business demanding the 25%, they sold it off when they bought him, they can't go back on it because it doesn't suit them now.

Best way to describe Lambert is Sheringham lite.
Hes not just someone to boot the ball up to cause hassle like Grant Holt, Lambert can play football, hes technically sound, a good finisher and very sharp in the mind, he is one of those players that sees things early and is one step ahead in the mind, all that makes up for him having no pace very much like Sheringham.
