Transfer Rumours 21/22

Klopp asked if he's happy with Liverpool's summer transfer dealings.

"I'm very happy with the squad, but that doesn't mean we don't look at the market. There might still be something happening before the end of the transfer window, but I can't say anything at moment."

I smell bullshit.

Is that what the journalists popularly call being "coy?"

Joe Willock to Newcastle for 25m. What a load of Blob.

Hammers impending 30m bid for Origi and Nat.

If that's the case then they're just repeating Arsenals mistakes. They let the team rot and have struggled to rebuild ever since.

Perhaps, like Kroenke, they don't particularly care as long as the numbers stack up but it's frustrating to watch.
Yeah but Mate - They’re a fucking business. They are not in it for the love of LFC. They are in it to make a wedge. Of course they are and who could blame them? They are not sugar daddy sheiks. Let’s be honest - It was a shrewd investment by FSG ( Or epic swindle depending on your point of view) However what they are is a company that care about sports. Grass roots, community, everything which I think they have proven pretty much since the day they walked through the door. ( a few mis-steps aside) At the very least they are very far from Kroenke/Glazers/Hicks/Gillette etc. We are in a safe hands. I have no doubt that when the time is right and someone comes in with takeover bid. They (I genuinely believe this) would make sure they don’t cash in for the sake of a few extra millions (which I think is pretty rare these days) They would want the ship to keep sailing steady and true. I see no reason to doubt them. It’s frustrating not to be signing 70m players every year. I get that. The club is more important though. Imagine how it must feel for Barca fans, or Real Madrid. Those guys are at some point going to be staring into an abyss of financial catastrophe. They are nearly there now. So are Utd. Happily we are not and crucially in terms of being a global brand - LFC more than holds its own. Sit tight and watch them burn…..

There is a part of me that can see the realism in these things. I mean pointing out that the Spanish clubs could well get bailed out by the Spanish government. It’s happened before. FFP is real in that it’s printed and passed as a condition. It laughably inept; obviously ….. there’s only so many loop holes though . The sad thing is…. As always… Money talks. If you want further proof of that just look at Qatar and the World Cup. It’s a disgusting world of greed and watching it unfold is not just ‘frustrating’ as you put it’s fucking disgusting. 2020-21 and probably beyond will go down as a shameful example of corporate influence and greed. Money over lives. - a simple thing like football gets caught up in the glutton frenzy of money. Imagine going ahead with a football season in the middle of a fucking global pandemic?! I mean It’s just the most absurd thing… Oh wow … I need a rolly and a Raspberry tea….And maybe some tuneage. As an aside - Why couldn’t Messi just say “Fuck it. I’ll play for free if it means I can stay at the club I love. I’ll commit to another year then retire and I’ll do it on zero wages. It’s not about the money it’s about the football” -That would have been ace.

Watching him at his conference this morning - Saying he tried everything to stay but couldn’t……The fucking blubbing, talented whopper.... I

. 😗😀

Does anyone think James Ward Prowse is good enough to fill Wini's role? He'd make us even more of a threat from set plays. I would imagine a fee of £30m would be high enough to prise him off the Saints

Even if Messi plays for free Barca wage bill is 115% of turnover. La Liga rules said it has to be no more than 70%. He couldn't even play for free. That's how fucked Barca are. I suspect the contract talks were a complete charade designed so fans would scapegoat La Liga rather than the club.

Who’s this guy Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco we’re being linked with?

Is he any good?

Barcelona's turnover for 19/20 was €855m. 18/19 season they had a wage bill of £450m. Going forward they're player wages will drop to Milan level. Where does the 115% come from?

I can help with some insight here.

Basically.... Barca and Real are fucked.
Are they though? I'm getting too big to fail vibes here.
Real and Barca are like institutions, part of their respective city's economy is built around those two clubs.

Good player and probably more constructive than Wijnaldum, but not as versatile and defo not a replacement for him.

It just gets better for Barca.

Aguero out for 10 weeks.

Someone tell Laporta Origi is available for 10m

Lautaro Martinez’ agent Alejandro Camano: “Lautaro is happy at Inter and in Italy. His decision is to stay”, he told to @CLMerlo. Tottenham made a bid for Lautaro days ago, Inter want to keep him. #THFC #Lautaro

It's being reported that Inter have agreed to let him go to Spurs for £60m
Are they? Their T/O is higher then ours and by Athletics account their wage bill will be lower than ours.

This is Athletics prediction for Real and Barca

But isn't this prediction just based on the fa t that they have to adjust salary caps to match turn over. So if crowds are back in Spain this season and Messi is off the wage bill then it should take a year max to see their turnover and salary cap start ramping up again.
