Liverpool are set to seal a deal for young Newcastle winger Bobby Clark in the next few weeks.

The ECHO understands a transfer is likely to be completed soon, with the bulk of an agreement in place.

Bobby, 16, is the son of Magpies legend Lee Clark.

The Newcastle Chronicle claims that the youngster is "held in high regard" by his current side.

Back in 2019, the paper reported that Clark was "regarded as one of the most promising youngsters in the club's youth system."

If he's half the player his dad was, he'll be REALLY shit

How does FFP work again?
Basically they have an agreement with the likes of City CHelsea and Utd that they're allowed to spend whatever they want so long as they're entitled to 10%

Short for Fradulent Fuckingcunt Pigs.

Would be a better deal for Spurs than City. Ultimately city can still only put 11 players on the pitch. Spurs could invest and build a very competitive squad with Harry off the books.

woooooowww great

What a great time to take go to Manchester and take a piss on their ManC badge when they still lose the title to us even after spending half a billion.

Klopp just needs to have a proper plan for the season, that's all.

Who would want to go to a Harry Kane-less Spurs though? Not many top players I reckon so they’ll be looking at a massive rebuild.
Levy will probably use a lot of the Kane money on their short term loans and stadium debt aswell.

What top players are going to Spurs?

When people talk about Spurs, they talk about the AJ Usyk fight because that's the biggest event that stadium will ever hold.

They don't necessarily need to be current top players - but 160m is a lot of investment and they already have match winners and solid stars in the squad. I think Spurs minus Kane + 160m of talent is better than current spurs with no extra investment.

For the right egotistic player its a change to become their star player.

Have to say we seem to be doing a good job of snapping up some young superstars. Elliot, Gordon, Polish Messi, now this guy. Could pay great dividends in 5 or so years (ideally sooner).

They have needed a rebuild since we beat them in the European Cup final. This will help. They have a fancy new stadium and if they can spend the money wisely it'll be a better deal for them as Brizzle says. Kane insists on playing every game at Spurs, regardless of whether he's fit or not; he's become a bit of a millstone for them, albeit one who scores plenty of goals.

Agreed. I’d rather they kept Kane than got 100M to spend... unless it goes on the stadium / Jorge Mendes next yacht.

Their recruitment and transfers have been poor though, so its a huge task for the new DoF to rebuild.
The fancy new stadium loaded with debt and 200 mill loan during the pandemic wont help.

Most likely is an Arsenal type fall were you end up out of the CL and struggle to get back in contention.

Alderweireld supposedly wants out as well, those 2 leaving would leave a huge hole.

Is Son that unambitious that he'd want to stay? He's 29 now and won nothing other than the best Asian player in the world.

Ediit: Nevermind, He's just signed a new extension until 2025, what a failure.

Last two seasons: Ndombele, Bergwjin, Doherty, Reguilion, Sessegnon, Lo Celso, Høibjerg, Rodon.
From 60-20 mill spent per player.

They’re not very good at signing players. They used to be, but not anymore.
Their new DoF might change that, but its quite different in getting players to move to Juventus..
