Transfer Rumours 21/22

Portuguese sides always start with astronomical figures and more often than not come down to the market. It really depends on who's in for him. United? It'll stay high. Arsenal/Spurs? Then it'll drop.

I have to say on his showing over these two legs he'd thrive in our team and would be a great replacement for Bobby over the next 12-18 months. Also allowing us to have a completely new forward line and not be so reliant on Mo. e.g. Nunez - Jota - Diaz
I see him as a Mane replacement, coming in from the left as he does. Bobby, I see as getting another 3 year deal and becoming an AM.
The advantage we have is he has met Klopp, and the gut feeling is he would love to play for Klopp and LFC.
Selling Mane and Mini could raise upto £60m.

We watch a lot of games of Porto; not only this season but other seasons as well,” the assistant boss told The Athletic.
“For example, Luis was so good against Juventus and Manchester city in the Champions League last season.
“We had crossed our information with Julian Ward. Our scouting department had great reports on him as well, so in the end it was an easy collective decision.”

Both Vitinha and Fabio Vieira – two players that have flourished since our No.23’s departure from the Estadio do Dragao – have indeed been heavily linked with a switch to Merseyside in recent months.

I listened to an interview with Fabrizio Romano about various clubs news.
Regarding Liverpool he said that the contract situation with Mo is unchanged. he wants to stay but wants a contract that reflects his standing in the game relative to other contracts. He didn't venture an opinion on whether Liverpool will offer him an improved or acceptable contract.
Regarding the Fabio Carvalho signing he said that the club are really pleased to have got him as a good few other clubs tried to hijack the deal once the original transfer broke down in January. He said that he will go straight into the first team squad with no plans to loan him out.
Regarding Jude Bellingham he said he will stay at Dortmund for one more season before moving on. Lots of clubs are interested but he didn't name any of them.

There were some rumours flying around a few days back that we had agreed to pay Salah the 400k per week he wanted...
I am wondering if this was to attract a few bids for him knowing that is is highly likely he will be off this summer If we fail to meet his wage demands.
Any money coming in for him will go toward Nunez.

Salah has become to practicable to defend against, Where as Nunez offer us some thing new and less practicable for defenders to deal with.

The one thing I see wrong with that plan is that Barca, and Real my prove too much of a temptation for him

I have to disagree with regards to Salah, Salah's performance peters off towards the end of the season, which is fatigue related. However, against Benfica he was creating chances and being unselfish.
It's Mane who has lost a yard of pace, and if I am thinking of who to replace, it would unfortunately be him. I love the guy, but he still carries a sizeable value of £30-40m , and rebuilding has to start with players leaving (as said before, Mane + Mini + £5-10m = Nunez). Still need a CM and a RB unless Gomez can be convinced to be back-up.

Yeah, I didn't love the diving in the first game but you can't deny that the kid is good.

Liverpool are chasing Aberdeen's 18-year-old Scottish right-back Calvin Ramsay as cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold

Sky Sports are quoting that City are on the brink of signing Haaland.

Personal terms have apparently been agreed, City need to trigger the release clause of €75m in the Summer.

These great signings don’t always work out for one reason and another…could rock the boat with other players etc..shame that it will somewhat move goal posts on pay structure again..in my opinion..
we’ve got Jota so feck them ! 😛

They'll just 'self sponsor' to cover.

Dubai tiddlywinks 2023 - £400m deal incoming.

A name that I've seen touted a few times in the last couple of days to us.

Serge Gnabry - similar sort of fee as Thiago only 26 so in the right profile. Has unfinished business in the premier league.

If Arsenal make the top 4, it'd be more likely a return to them, but interesting new rumour nonetheless.

I thought about Gnabry last week. He only has a year left on his current deal but would want insane wages.

I wonder if we'll see some compromise on wages over the next window.

There aren't that many clubs that will pay crazy wages. La Liga isn't the destination it was ten years ago, Serie A is second tier despite a recent resurgence, which just leaves PSG and a few English clubs. If you value your career and trophies, then there is limited choice.

Perhaps just wishful thinking.

Won't be Gnabry imo. He's right footed. I think we're going for a left footer. I'm starting to believe those Adeyemi rumours.
