Scum in advanced talks with Ron, he’s too old, prem too fast for him, he’ll bankrupt Utd Zzz Zzz

He’ll score some goals for them obviously, but 25 mill £ and 350-400 k in wages for a soon to be 37 year old. Quite insane.

Seems more based on nostalgia then anything else.

Redcafe will be a mess right now... from the lows... to the highs. A bit like the Gerrard situation we found ourselves in back in 2005.

Sad that whilst United, Chelsea and City are all spending big and improving, we're sat there scratching our arse.

I wouldn't mind it if no one had left and we had just added Konate.

But where's the Gini replacement? What happens when Mo/Sadio/Naby go to Afcon in Jan?
Even though I liked your comment, I don't fully agree.
Gini's replacement is obviously Thiago. I also think Curtis was meant to step up as well.
Naby can go to the Afcon, we don't really miss him atm.
But it does irk me that we haven't bought a striker while United already have like 15 strikers and bought another one.

Nah...Redcafe will be like this forum was when Robbie returned.
Made me feel like a kid again. Seeing the guy I had posters of on my wall coming back.

And probably undroppable as well

This summer is shaping up to be as bad as 2017 when we’d just been busted for tapping up van Dijk who we were now never going to sign, Barca were sniffing around Coutinho who we couldn’t possibly afford to lose, City had just pipped us to Benjamin Mendy and we were going to have to make do with some relegated Scottish no-mark from Hull as back-up to Alberto Moreno plus a lightweight Chelsea reject from Roma as our new star forward.

I don’t like it either - Christiano will bring winning mentality that many of United’s younger players lack. If they sign Bissouma and Trippier too and fuck off Martial, I think they have a title-winning squad.

The only issue is I’m not sure Solskjaer is tactically flexible enough to integrate all of those intriguing, but somewhat random parts. Does he know how to use Cavani and Ronaldo together, for example? Or what to do with Van de Beek? With someone like Conte in charge, I think they would win it.

Too many puzzle pieces to win this season. Maybe next.

He's undoubtedly brilliant and will drag them to some kind of success

I don't like it
I said that last season with Juve ... someone pooh poohed it and said he was past it (forget who). He scored 37 goals in 49 matches.

This season and a new team/league (he hasn't played in since he was on the teat) ... could see the first serious season of his decline though. He'll score a good few but then so would Greenwood / Cavani / Rashford whose places he'll be taking. Huge gamble. United must feel they are still behind City, Chelsea and us.

Solskjaer tactically flexible enough? Ronaldo is going to eat him alive. He'll be skulking from the boot room where Ronaldo sent him as punishment.

They're basically shitting all over greenwoods development just to flick the vees at the neighbours, who'll ultimately end up with the much better haaland

West Ham are closing in on the £25m signing of Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma. Zouma, 26, is having a medical and it is understood personal terms have been agreed, with a deal close to completion.

Yeah, so they are betting on winning here and now, but with a wrong man in charge - by the time Solskjaer is gone, Ronaldo will probably retire already. It’s an audacious move, but probably a mistake.
