Transfer budget?

January is approaching and the threads about who we should sign and transfer gossip starts to pop up. What size of the transfer kit can we expect? If my memory serves me correctly we have spent rather heavily in the January window before. Will Kenny get enough to get it right (if he's the man to get it right)?

With the unsecurity regarding Gerrard and Lucas gone (Spearing isn't good enough) I guess we need a dm and we need a partner for Suarez, either an attacking mid or a (real) goalscorer...or perhaps both.

Can we hope for £25m?

I think we broke even last January, I expect the same this window, give or take a few million. And given I don't expect us to be selling any of our better players, it could be a quiet month.
