Alot of pressure on Suarez now to be a hit.

I hate that Nando has done this. I have no problem with him having ambitions and moving on if he fails to realise them, but not this way. You don't do this.

AGREED.

Its understandable that he would want to move.. but this is FUUUUUUUUUUCKED

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Torres will stay at higher wage packet than current... its all a ruse, probably masterminded by his agent.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Fuck off Torres we've got Suarez

At least it Rhymes.

God I am so dissapointed in the lad, this must be what its like being cheated on by a girlfriend!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

He will have to say he was going to leave because the club was showing no ambition in the transfer market, but the signing of Suarez and (one or 2 others) has made him see the club are serious, and he is fully committed to Liverpool FC and its Fans, one of which he counts himself.

Will that be accepted though? It's been said he submitted his written request after we had agreed a deal with Ajax for Suarez.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Personally, i do think this will happen in the next 48 hrs or so, unless the chavs offer £50m. I don't blame him for wanting to leave, as for the past 2 years we've been pretty poor, but just when we look like things are improving, he drops this bombshell. Kenny will have a word and it'll turn into another rooney scenario.

This is the only way he can save face really... the timing is fucking woeful... but if the promises that he has been given continue to be broken then its relatively understandable.

I think we all need to chill a little until we hear what Torres has to say.. If he says he wants to leave even after the Suarez signing .. Then i will unleash my fury!

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

It's more than fucked it's fishy. Why right now in the window? Why do we know about it? Is it Torres's agent filling the press in or Chelsea or our own management? Have FSG had it in mind to cash in on Fernando, injury prone unsettled big wages etc and this is their way of making it look acceptable to the fans? I'm really really gutted. I feel conned by it all, as a fan one of the things I've cherished about football throughout my life is the innocent wide eyed love of the game which I've had since i was a kid with the LFC duvet set and posters up round the room. Fuck it even now I've got the calendar up at work! I feel sick, I really genuinely thought that it meant something to Torres to put that shirt on every Saturday, I'm in 10 year old shock. Fuck it. IF it is the case that Nando just wants the cash and champs league then FSG shouldmbe busting a gut to make him stay by investing in the team and telling him so.... I can't believe that all this fucking disgraceful shite has to happen right now, just when things were looking up for the first time in 18 months of torture. We're not just losing a player 99% of us loved we are losing him at the worst possible moment to a bunch of cunts who are diametrically opposed to our own ethos and doing it in such a manner as the player himself now will be hated as much as he was loved. It's fucking horrible. Shame on everyone involved. Fuck it.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

From what I remember the transfer request was announced after the signing of Suarez...so I think that's why everyone is unleashing their fury. Actions speak louder than words and all that.

Has he not already done that, Suarez is as good as signed, if anything he has put this transfer in danger. Torres may have been one of the reasons he was coming.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

if he stays, what will the response be from the fans? same as stevie when he nearly left?

Perhaps his fax went missing..

Maybe he spoke to his agent about it prior to Suarez.. and the agent only got around to sending it later in the day..

Maybe the webhosts were slow to announce it on the site...

Clutching at straws i know... but id hate to rip shreads into him with there being a reasonable reason behind all this..

This. I'm really really hoping for this. Regardless of the fee it is fucking madness to sell him with 2 days left ... We can't do it and we shouldn't ...

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I really really hope we sell him, give them our asking price and wash our hands of him. I can't stomach seeing him wearing our shirt again.

Jon it's not like Stevie at all though, because Stevie's commitment on the pitch could never be questioned.

Totally agree with every word of Ryans post, the thought of us begging him to stay turns my stomach. I dont want him anywhere near our club

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If we didn't want to sell we wouldn't have stuck it on the website.

It will certainly take some contrite masterclass of an apology to be sure, selling him is one thing selling him NOW?!?! It's not a salemits a destruction of a player.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I am off to a family wedding so I will almost miss most of the fun today but it will be a topic of conversation asmost of the family are reds.

FWIW I reckon Torres is either a lying deciving cunt or a very silly boy and most probably a bit of both

That what I think as well, it's fishy as fuck and if it is true then FSG have just officially finished their graceful honeymoon period in my eyes. Disgusting stuff.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

I could just about forget all the sulking and half-hearted performances over the last 16 months, with the promise that things would change as the club as a whole got itself together.

And yet just as that process shows signs of picking up with Kenny's appointment (and performance as manager in every sense) and the capture of Suarez (with the promise of more to come) - he goes and does this.

Should he go, his behaviour over the last 16 months or so would leave a seriously bitter taste in the mouth.

Disgusting from FSG? Not selling a clearly disgruntled and sulky Torres would not be a good move. Sometimes you have to forego emotion and do what's best for the team as a whole.

What are you talking about?

Obviously we don't want to sell two days before the window closes; but FSG have shown they're just as capable of playin hardball as anybody else.

I dont know about you; but I'm fed up of clubs thinking we're mugs.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

If he'd have said he wanted to go to Arse because he wanted to win things, to play with Cesc, to play that style, to be involved in that project or whatever - we'd all know he wasn't doing it just for dosh... But Chelsea simply means he's a mercenary motherfucka and he's always been full of shit.

Re: Torres - Chelsea 35mil Bid turned down

Frankly it is BS that because it is on the offal we want to sell. Torres put in a written transfer request, the club is obliged to respond.

That's the most worrying part of this IMO. If it IS the case, it means our record signing starts his whole career with us under a cloud. Not good news.

Agreed, it's just the clubs way of making it known that we're not the ones looking to engineer the move. Speculation is/was rife so we had to say something.
