For all those saying 'let him rot' and 'don't sell him', do you really mean that? Putting your (completely) justifiable anger at the twat aside, do you really think that's the best thing for the club?
Now he's gone and handed in a request and is acting the cunt, would it serve the club well to have him sulk his way through the next few months on/off the pitch, just when things are really looking positive for the club? It would be detrimental to our team performances, morale, fan support and create division and conflict where Kenny had began to heal previous ones.
We have to move on, screw Chelsea for as much as is possible and spend the money well. 50-60m could go a fair way to improving this side, especially given we've already signed Suarez. Another 20m striker, a 20m winger + whatever else and we might just be looking back on this in a few months and thinking everything worked out for the best.
Oh, and Torres has let himself and the club down in a way I'd not have imagined. We're better off without him.
