Internationals gone, we are top of the league.

Nice isn't it

If by Xmas we are in top 3 I will believe a title run is possible

Only 3 games I know but isn't it lovely.

That's all.

People keep saying only 3 games, as if it doesn't mean anything, and I'd agree if those 3 games were Stoke (H), WBA (A) and Palace (H). But they weren't, they included a very good Villa side tipped for Top 10 and who had spanked Arsenal away, and United who, regardless of any concerns over their team/manager are always up for the match against us (even when they were relegation fodder this was applicable). So not just any old 3 games.

We shall see but that start is extremley encouraging when you consider who has still to come into the team.

Back in the box. Its only three games regardless of how you dress it up. Stoke are only 3 points behind us. If they stay within 3 until christmas can we expect a title run from them too? STOKE?! Can we fuck.

We're doing great, but we've hardly been convincing, if we win the next few games, and start winning convincingly, then we can get excited. Enjoy it whilst it lasts, we're not doing ourselves any harm in our target for the top four.

Did they beat United or Villa away ? Or in fact anyone of note ? Nah. Didn't think so.

United romped to the title last season and half the games they won were unconvincing or 'lucky'. Hmmm (not for one moment suggesting that is what we are going to do) 😀

Realistically, we should still be top in 6 games time. All the games are games we really should be winning. I'm not saying we're going to win the league because I highly doubt we are, but 14-15 point sout of these games should leave us top in heading into November, which would give us a great platform to stay in and around the top 4.

West Brom, Southampton and Swansea are decent teams, but two of those games are at home and we should be winning them. Palace, Newcastle and Sunderland are very poor based on what I've seen of them so far.

With each win comes more confidence. One game at a time. The fixtures set up gives us a real chance to do something special and continue to lead from the front.

Only 3 games makes no difference, its a solid start. I love seeing us back on the perch, hope it stays that way and becomes a little more permanent.

In the league we don't have a game where we shouldn't be odds on to win until Christmas.

The fixtures have been MASSIVELY kind to us.

If we can not fuck up a game we 'should win' that the momentum will be worth an extra few points to us.

Having said that we have a decent run of games that on paper are winnable...

And our beloved cunt is back in a few games time... So Yeh their is reason for optimism...

It's not just confidence, if 'smaller' teams are 1-0 down & we haven't lost yet they will be less likely to push for the draw & more likely to try not to concede.

Same with top teams, if we're drawing with 20 minutes to go yet our form is great then they'll be more hesitant to bomb on to push for a win for fear of leaving themselves open.

That self belief & lack of belief from the opposition is a big factor in Utd dominace, the contrast between how newly promoted teams play at Anfield & Old Trafford has always annoyed me.

I believe Binny has just killed this thread with his "Just sayin'" post.

Let's calm down lads, there will be at least 6 defeats in front of us this season. I know this, as it happens to all title winning sides..

Don't count on it, we could be the new "Invincibles"

Swansea are a bloody good looking team though. People have been mooting them as potential top 6 or 7 material, and I think that's perfectly fair.

I hope we pick up after this break where we left off. I'm loving the team morale coming out at the moment, lots of tweets with #RedOrDead which I think it bringing players together. We've had a good spell for Rodgers to get Moses, Coutinho, Hendo training together, along with the defenders so hopefully we can set up against Swansea with the players familiar with each others and ready to kick some ass!

IT'S ON!

They're not better than Man United though. While a draw there would be a decent result that i wouldn't be too unhappy with, they are more than beatable. They are not exactly brilliant at the back.
