Top four by the end of the year?

WE. ARE. SHIT.

The sooner we realize that, the less stressful our lives will be.

As I posted the other day, we're no worse than Watford Leicester Palace and West Ham, and they're all above us. It has to be something more deep-rooted. That shithouses thread couldn't be more apt at the present time.

We say this all the time, but next game is bloody huge. Lose that and our season can very rapidly go into write off mode.

Go to?

In terms of the league it already is.

Cup specialists it is.

If we win a few trophies I won't really care about the league.

We have to go all out in the Europa League now.

Dortmund - Liverpool Final, please... Where we will mark one of our greatest European Nights..

We could still go on a run. I think Klopp has learned enough about the players to know whom he can trust.

I'm not even sure what writing off the league even means. I mean, the vast majority of our games are in the league, are people suggesting putting out weakened teams for it? Or not caring about the results? Cause I doubt either of them will happen.

I guess most people mean they've written off any aspirations for the rest of the league season. I certainly have. In just a few weeks I've gone from thinking we could launch an outside shot at the title to thinking we have little chance of finishing higher than Leicester and will certainly miss out on the top 4. My change of thinking has more to do with the performances than the results. If we went on a run of wins I'd expect this lot to get too big for their boots and come crashing down to some shocking results...while the longer we continue to struggle the less confident I am that even Klopp with all of his motivational powers can drag this lot out of their malaise.

So for me now the league season is about Klopp sorting out the wheat from the chaff while in the cups, you never know, we might just string a few results together.

I think realistically if we play as we have done in the last 3 PL games - we are looking at finishing between 8th and 14th in the league. Really this is what our expectations should be now. All we can really do is try and get as far as we can in the cup competitions and if we have any desire to get into the CL next year we should focus on winning the Europa Cup as its our only avenue to the CL now.

I find it remarkable that every Saturday our players watch as the big teams drop points and then go out on the Sunday against Palace, Newcastle and Watford and shit the bed so pathetically. Is there actually a player in this squad to even like?

I don't. Given the teams he's picked in the last three games, it would be suggest he has no real idea, or if he does, is totally wrong

I've been pondering that. I'm leaning towards giving him the benefit of doubt & thinking that he's seeing players do well in training so trying to reward that, & giving them a fair shit to improve before he looks for replacements.

I suppose, if he's genuinely looking long term, he may be playing some players he's placed in the 'out' column to see if his conclusion is correct for sure before he gets shut.

I'd prefer to believe something akin to that rather than think he's stupid enough to not see what we can when we watch them, partly cos if that's the case, we're fucked, as he's not the messiah, he's a very naughty boy.

First time ever that we're going to a home game at the weekend and the whole football world expects us to get fucked by Leicester.

Strange times, kids.

They haven't lost away from home since March!
