Our next six games are

Swansea, West Brom and Leicester at home and Newcastle, Watford and Sunderland away

15-16 points?

Then all bets are off for where we end up

Nah, we'll drop some point along the way, we always fuck up these chances, Leicester are set up perfectly to hurt us with their quick counter attack, and Swansea and West Brom always seem to give us trouble. We need to do well here, and we have a chance, but its not going to be easy, but I am glad we haven't got any of the top six around the short breaks of the Christmas games.

Yes, it'll have its difficulties BUT yes, we defo have a chance of getting there by the end of the year. Whatever our deficiencies, others have as many or, in a lot of cases, even more. If we play to our potential (and I fully accept that's what we have to do now) we firkin well *should* make top four by the New Year or shortly after.

If we can play like we did last night till the end of the season with good injured players coming back into the fold... Top four or even better is possible...

But then I remember the Palace game...

The league is very very open this year, all the teams more or less are capable of beating each other, one reason why one of the best things about the way Klopp is getting us to play is that it truly doesn't rely on just a single great player it's got the whole team causing mischief...

This could be a cracking season to be a Liverpool fan which considering where we were at the start of October is a hell of an achievement.

I struggle with the prediction/points lark. Lose/draw to Swansea/WBA and all of sudden Leicester and the Barcodes look difficult fixtures. Then, far from 15-16 points, we end up with 7 or 8.

And the first one back to the drawing board wins.

I'm confident that we'll now, slowly, start to become more and more solid, and turn those draws into wins, as Andy says. However, we're only at the start of that road, not the end of it, and we're far from being a team that can look at ANY game, home or away and simply expect 3 points for turning up. The past three games have shown that we can beat AND lose to any team, anywhere.

Oh dear. It all seemed so promising for a day or two

Funny that - I got a few cheeky messages from my Arsenal friends - I remember one season where they were at the top at the start of the year then a certain team came of age and took them apart and held onto number 1 until someone had a slip. I think right now with every match there is great expectation and hope because we can all feel that this BIG FUCKING GERMAN bloke is on the brink of changing our minds to BELIEVE we can go and fuck everyone up. I love that feeling I and I can't get enough of it - his honesty regarding team performance especially after Newcastle made me warm to him even more. Some people are saying the Gengen has slowed down a little - but I don't think he is going to let it slip.

Best chance is a very late run of wins - say, the last six or so. I doubt we'll do much more than keep going up or down by a couple of points between now and February time.

Go down in points? You can lose points now?

No, you've heard of dropping points, haven't you, and losing points to rivals, haven't you? That sort of thing. So we'll go past Spurs, say, and then go behind Spurs, etc.
Hope this clarifies.

I'm hopeful that spurs and manure begin a decent decline freeing up that top four space, coz Leicester are going nowhere.

Shame that we cant seem to win those tight games at the moment. We'd been in the top 4 now if that was the case.
Draws against Norwich, Soton and WBA and losing to CP at home.

We play every top team at home in the second half of the season and then lesser ones away, maybe that will suit us better at this stage.
No easy games though, obviously.
I think we'll miss out but be right up there until the end.

We'll make Top 4. A few dicey results here and there have done nothing to neuter that believe.

I'm basing that on ; Klopp, January transfer window (we will get 1 or 2 for sure despite the downplaying at the moment), we will have got by far the tougher half of the season out of the way (based on which teams we played at home and which away), new players settling in and most importantly the tactics will start to become ingrained and second nature.

Has the first post in "The next few games are against Y,Z,D,E,J. We should easily get between 14-16 points" posts ever been correct?

I don't think we'll make top four with Mignolet between the sticks. Too many game changing errors and a general undermining of our defensive confidence will tell..

Can we just ban all "Next 6 games we should get a minimum of 15 points" threads and posts.

Well this thread is looking sillier by the game 🙁

How depressing from manager of the month to total melt down in 3 games.

Hopefully we can get back on track against the table toppers.
