Top 3 Most Improved Players this season..

Suarez
Henderson
Wisdom

I think Downing and Enrique were good, but only in patches. Wisdom came in and stepped up, I know its the attacking talents like Sterling and Suso that everybody raves about but for me Wisdom is much closer to being the finished product than any of the others

Wisdom is certainly a good shout..

I think we could sell Johnson if pushed and have more than adequate cover at RB with Kelly & Wisdom

I dont see Wisdom as a full back long term but i think he has the makings of a fine centre half, and Kelly has had a very patchy injury record. If McLaughlin is ready to push through next season I think we probably could let GlenJo move on for a decent fee but Id prefer to keep him as I think on his day he is still an excellent fullback, I just dont think we have identified the correct balance between attack and defence in this team and the fullbacks are being asked to do too much attacking with very little defensive cover being supplied from midfield

I find it difficult to say Downing improved, he was just less shit than last season. And worse than he was in the middle of his career.

Suarez and Henderson are the only ones who look like they've improved significantly

lol.. Class

I was thinking of starting another on 'The Top 3 not quite improved but have potential players this season'

I like Top 3 threads, maybe we can have the top 3 threads on top 3s.

My ratings:

1. Top three most improved
2. Top three most disappointing
3. Top three moments of the season

And probably Downing to a certain extent.

Yeah, I'd agree on him, he's improved a lot, but he hasn't improved enough.

Suarez
Henderson
Downing
in that order.

I'd also have put in Wisdom and Sterling, but I didn't really see them last year to see if they've improved.

agree with that except for downing, if he had improved there would be no doubt he would stay be a first teamer, he hasn't. I would replace him with Enrique.

Not really, why would improvement mean he would stay? You have to scale the improvement. He's been better and given us balance, but age, wage and ultimate quality are against him in the long run.

Improved? I thought he's been top class for us in all the games he's played, bar maybe 2. "Improvement" suggests getting better. With Sturridge, he's been brilliant from day 1.
Not here, but compared to last season isn't it?

I never thought he'd score 11 goals in half a season from what i saw last year
