A Torres/Adebayor partnership would certainly make a huge difference (until his enthusiasm wanes - usually about 12 months), but we'd need some proper wingers to make the most of him.
And someone to pay his astronomical wages.

I'd love Adebayor here.

He's a mega-cunt, but he is very talented.

Why can't he get a game at City?

The insistence on playing with three midfielders and nothing else?

They've made Tevez captain, so he's a guaranteed starter, plus Ballotelli is in good form and Adebayor has been fighting with Mancini, which has shifted that useless twat Jo ahead of him in the pecking order.

I'd obviously like some less twatty than Adebayor but yeh I'd have him as a striking option. Mind you, the gunfire in Crocky may unnerve him a bit.

Real Madrid ambassador Zinedine Zidane has hinted that the club may make a move for Lille's Eden Hazard.

The teenage midfielder has earned rave reviews this season, with a number of Europe's top clubs monitoring his situation in France.

At just 19 years of age he has already become a mainstay in the Lille side and has earned 17 caps for Belgium.

His precocious talent was never going to go unnoticed for long and his list of admirers continues to grow by the week.

Spanish giants Real are just one of those in the queue, and Hazard has already admitted that he would welcome a switch to Santiago Bernabeu.

Extraordinary

Real remain tight-lipped for now regarding their intentions for the immediate future, but Zidane admits they would be foolish to overlook a player of such obvious potential.

"What he is doing is extraordinary for his club," the former France international told Canal+.

"I have spoken about him in Madrid, but not to Jose Mourinho. Anyway, he will know."

Asked if a potential move could take place, Zidane replied: "It may."
This would just be the worst possible move for Hazard. Real Madrid is a graveyard for young talent, go develop somewhere else and give your peak years to them if you must, but don't go there and sit on their bench while your prime years of development waste away.

Read on the Beeb that Hodgson apperantly has 3 games to save his job, after NESV have lost patience after the losses against Stoke and Spurs.

The story is now removed from the Beeb and the Echo apperantly. Found it on a couple of unreliable sites though.

Most likely BS, but I would love a new manager when we hit january..

I'm not sure I like that rumour. I don't want our owners to be saying you've got X amount matches to get results or you're gone. In my opinion that's not the right way to run a club.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Roys good enough, but it's not (just) because of certain results. And a few good results in the next 3 games won't change my opinion of him.

Yeah, I agree. It doesn't quite sound like Henry and NESV either, thats why I take it with a gigantic pinch of salt.

They probably won't do anything until a new CEO is appointed anyway.

Agree in principle, but in practice I don't care if it increases our chances of seeing him off.

Also agree with Hansern that this doesn't seem likely for NESV, but maybe they've already made up their minds that Roy's toast and just want a peg on which to hang the decision, perhaps with a view to minimising any payout.

Great news!

There are rumours every week that the next X number of games will be 'make or break' for Roy. He always survives.

Spanish newspaper AS reporting that Liverpool & Spurs are interested in a loan deal for Lassana Diarra of Real Madrid. #lfc

Actually, the original article's linking us with the other Diarra (Mahamadou Diarra). 😛 Basically saying his contract is expiring in June, can start negotiation with foreign clubs regarding bosman transfer starting 1 Jan 2011. Liverpool and Malaga are monitoring the situation.

Latter part talks about Lass (Lassana Diarra)'s situation being slightly different, saying the club is not in a rush to offload him and that Manchester United, Tottenham and Fenerbahçe are interested.

Lassana would be magnificent. I wanted him when Xabi was on his way out and we were courting Barry, and later Aquilani.. Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid.. One hell of a CV...

Spanish Press: Reds keen on loaning Real StarPosted on Tuesday, 7th December 2010 by David Tully

ShareSpanish daily newspaper AS is reporting that Liverpool and Tottenham are the frontrunners as Real Madrid look to offload Lassana Diarra in the January transfer window. The 25 year old has only started three games this season, and according to AS, the French international is all set for a move back to England where he has already played for Chelsea, Arsenal and Portsmouth. It is believed that the Reds and Spurs would be keen to take the holding midfielder on loan in January in view to a permanent move at the end of the season. AS also states that Manchester United and Aston Villa are said to be monitoring the situation

Yeah, saw the reports, Hansern. Would personally prefer the younger Diarra. Read that original AS article much to my disappointment. From 26 million euros to leaving on a bosman. What a transfer >_<

Ha, I know mate. Mamadou Diarra is sadly past it. He was very good in his Lyon days, but injuries has finished his career.

Lass on the other hand would be brilliant.

Are Tottenham on a quest to sign EVERYBODY?
Did Harry have Lass at pompey or where they there at different times?
