If he`s not getting his game at City i would make a january move for Adam Johnson a natural left sided winger that we badly need

Babel, meanwhile, has admirers in Italy and, after seeing possible moves to Birmingham and West Ham fall through in the summer, could be on his way out of the Premier League in January.

Juventus and Lazio are currently monitoring the Duthcman’s situation and are readying offers for the Liverpool winger.

Cassano - wonderful player... when he is on form he loves his team mates and they love him..

when he is having a tough time he is a complete wanker that everyone hates and he hates everyone. He is capable of ripping teams apart from the inside. Horrible attitude.

i dont think he is the kind of risk we need. If you think Torres moans..wait until you see Cassano playing against stoke in feb.

Linked to Anthony Annan today.
I wanted us to sign him instead of Poulsen. Would have been about the same transfer fee, but a million years younger.

Apparently he's a nasty, biting, spiting cunt.

Never seen him play though.

There has been two incidents this season were he has been involved. Overall though he's a very good player.

But now that we can pick players from the top or there about shelves, I'd rather spend a bit more and sign M'Vila.

Haven't seen enough of Annan to judge properly but I'm quite sure we'd be better of with William Kvist from FC Copenhagen in that role if were to pick from that particular shelve.

Haven't seen this M'Vila fella at all but I'm with you - if he's one of the best around we should be in for him.

Full Name: Iván González López

Age: 22 (15/02/1988)

Nationality: Spanish

Height: 184 cm

Weight: 80 kg

Liverpool are watching Malaga defender Ivan Gonzalez.

Reds chief scout Eduardo Macia has recommended Gonzalez to manager Roy Hodgson, having scouted the 22 year-old since before Rafa Benitez's departure.

Cadena Ser says Premier League clubs have been in contact with Malaga about Gonzalez's availability this past week.

Liverpool are in the market for defensive reinforcements and Gonzalez, who is known for his threat at set pieces, would fit the bill.

The stopper has been a revelation for Malaga since breaking into their first team only last season.

Dodgy link. Although he'd played 21 matches in his debut season with Malaga last season, he's only featured in 3 so far in the current one.

Isn't Malaga one of the La Liga teams that are loosing 6-0 on a weekly basis?

So you're not familiar with Annan really, but of course are confident that a Danish player would be better.

Well, colour me surprised.

They've been "rubbish" this season. Got took over by some rich Sheik this summer though. Brought in former Porto coach Jesualdo Ferreira who recently got sacked for Pellegrini.

I've seen Annan play a handful of times for Rosenborg and of couse during the WC for Ghana. Based on my judgments of the two players from what I've seen I'd think the latter would be a better bet as he's gone from decent to very good over the past year. His overall technique and awareness are on first sight better than Annan's. Again from what little I've seen of the former.

So if we were to pick a player from that particular shelf (£4M-region) I'd wage my money on Kvist. That's all.

another little story about hazard, this one from The Mirror:

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is hoping to strengthen his weak squad in the January transfer window, and one of his main targets has emerged as young Belgian international Eden Hazard.

The 19-year-old winger plays for Lille in France, and has been identified by new Anfield director of football strategy Damien Comolli, who was an admirer of Hazard when he was working with St Etienne.

The winger already has 20 full caps for Belgium even though he is still a teenager, and he starred against Liverpool playing for his French club in the Europa League last season.

Hodgson will make a firm bid in January, in an attempt to head off interest from other clubs who have been watching the player, including the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal.

i'm desperately hoping we can pull this one off.

Have to say to KHLs defence, William Kvist is a very good player. Watched a fair bit of FC Copenhagens CL matches and he has been very good. Stood out against Barcelona.

No need to defend him, his scouting record, along with Roopy, is second to none (Though Rurik may be vindicated soon if Dzgoaev comes good). It will be interesting to see how the Manure keeper does ...

Cheers mate. And nice to hear Hansern's seen more or less the same qualities as I have with regards to Kvist.

Yeah Lindegaard is very interesting. There's a chance he'll become a top-class keeper indeed but it's a big step of course from Aalesund to Old Trafford. If there's one who could make that jump however Lindegaard would be a good bet.

Without beeing to obvious he's got striking similarities with Peter Schmeichel when it comes to mental attributes. He wants to be the very best and he does seem like he believe he can achieve that goal too. A few bad games however and it'll be his biggest test yet.
I hope you're dead wrong. I want him to fail miserably, and then he can become a star somewhere else.
Haha I can't deny that it would be a blow to the head should Ferguson somehow unearth another great keeper.

I've been seriously impressed with Lindegaard however. Could happen.

Anyways we've got Reina and he still takes some beating.

How nice it is actually to be completely assured that we're settled in the keeper appartment for years to come.

If rumours were to be believed a few weeks ago, Schmeichel was warning Utd off Lindegaard
Wasn't rumours mate he said that he wanted United to sign someone ready-made for the firstteam spot and the League and that he felt Lindegaard wasn't readt. He was constantly suggesting Reina actually the twat.

I think Peter is wrong here but only time will tell.

Elsewhere: Dzeko is getting Italian-lesson from Simon Kjaer in Wolfsburg. Looks like he's off to Juve soon. Or AC Milan perhaps.

Real Madrid ambassador Zinedine Zidane has hinted that the club may make a move for Lille's Eden Hazard.

The teenage midfielder has earned rave reviews this season, with a number of Europe's top clubs monitoring his situation in France.

At just 19 years of age he has already become a mainstay in the Lille side and has earned 17 caps for Belgium.

His precocious talent was never going to go unnoticed for long and his list of admirers continues to grow by the week.

Spanish giants Real are just one of those in the queue, and Hazard has already admitted that he would welcome a switch to Santiago Bernabeu.

Extraordinary

Real remain tight-lipped for now regarding their intentions for the immediate future, but Zidane admits they would be foolish to overlook a player of such obvious potential.

"What he is doing is extraordinary for his club," the former France international told Canal+.

"I have spoken about him in Madrid, but not to Jose Mourinho. Anyway, he will know."

Asked if a potential move could take place, Zidane replied: "It may."

Emmanuel Adebayor is ready to go to war with Manchester City to force a loan move to Tottenham in January.

Former Gunners striker Adebayor is desperate to go to Spurs, even though he knows it would make him even more of a hate figure among Arsenal fans than he already is.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp, who already caused a furore by signing former Arsenal captain William Gallas, is keen on Adebayor and even wants City to pay half of his £120,000-a-week wages so he fits into the wage structure.

Adebayor, 26, has had a succession of bust-ups with City boss Roberto Mancini and they are now ready to let him go out on loan in January.

City have drawn up a hit-list of players they are ready to do business on in January and Adebayor is at the top along with the likes of Roque Santa Cruz and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Big-spending City have been reluctant to sell to any of their top four rivals and refused to let Craig Bellamy go to Tottenham last summer.

Liverpool have been sounded out as City would far rather Adebayor goes to Anfield but it is believed they are so keen to offload him they are seriously considering doing a deal with Tottenham.

There has also been interest from Juventus but Adebayor is keen to stay in England even if it means becoming public enemy number one at Arsenal.

A Torres/Adebayor partnership would certainly make a huge difference (until his enthusiasm wanes - usually about 12 months), but we'd need some proper wingers to make the most of him.
