Very very tight at the top. 9th clearly achievable!

If we had a decent manager and had made a half decent start to the season, we'd be right in there with a shout.

Look at Bolton FFS

Yeah, the way the 'top teams' dropped points last and this season, makes our 'demise' even more hard to take...

Neil mellor is scoring well for sheff weds at the mo..

Gooners and Chavs dropping points. Bolton playing good football and scoring loads of goals.

Chievo up 1-0 at HT against Inter.
benitez won't last too long at this rate..

blackburn 2-0 villa
Robert Pires just come on for villa *never knew he'd joined them..*

They're having an injury crisis at the moment: Julio Cesar, Douglas Maicon, Coutinho, Cristian Chivu, MacDonald Mariga, Diego Milito, Sulley Mintari, Thiago Motta, Joel Obi, Walter Samuel and David Suazo all out.

Yeah, he's 37 and GH got him on a free. Probably won't play regularly, but it could be a good signing to bring a bit of experience to all the youngsters GH is fetching into the team.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Kolarov, Toure Yaya, De Jong, Barry, Jo, Tevez, Silva. Subs: Given, Milner, Wright-Phillips, Adebayor, Adam Johnson, Vieira, Boyata.

Jo the surprise starter and a £60++ million bench...

Mancini is a fucking rubbish manager. Almost anyone could pick a better starting XI than that from City's squad. Even doing it randomly, you'd probably end up with a better team.

LOL. He probably mistook Yaya, De Jong, Barry for Ronaldo, Kaka and Messi. Persisting with 3 screening midfielders both home and away. :-[

They hate eachother. Something to do with respect during the World Cup. The usual French cuntery between two French cunts
Nope.

Nasri didn't even go to the World Cup. It's over something that happened years ago.

Oh, it was Euro 2008.

- Chelsea absolutely battered Birmingham. A fucking unending string of top class chances spurned again and again by Kalou and Drogba mostly. Ramires should have had a penalty too. A freak result.

- 4 points seperates 5th and 18th place. Got to be one of the tightest Preamier League's in years.

- Too many players in the Premier League not bothered to put in the 'hard yards'. Cliched I know, but the effort of some of those West Ham players on Saturday was disgraceful. Piquionne in particular, a big useless fanny up front dawdling around. Obi Mikel not bothering to track Lee Bowyer for Birmingham's goal. Walters allowed two efforts at putting the ball in the net against West Brom, while the defence stood and watched him. In the tightest Premier League for years, those little things all add up.

- Some up and down officiating in the Bolton-Newcastle game. Nolan's handball spotted, no foul on Coloccini rightly let go, and the linesman correctly signalling for the sideshow bob cunt to be sent off for elbowing Elmander. Still, Lee was offside for Bolton's 2nd clearly, and Davies 2nd penalty was never a foul. The standard of referreing has been getting better, but they were all over the place in this game.

- Christophe Berra at Wolves looks promising. Tall, quick, solid centre back. You can see why McCarthy likes him.

- Varney's volley for Blackpool will take some beating for goal of the season.

- Koscielny needs a spell on the bench. He's a walking red card out there. Looks to have the atributes, but is a million miles off Premier League pace.

- Anything else?

Zabaleta is a very good player. Good goal, great performance.

He was pretty consistent last season, and should be starting more often for City.
