Three games

But I do see Skully's point. Today was the first time we really could and should have bagged a hatful. Yet we never. I just hope it's a case of Rodgers setting us out tough to beat for the opening of the season and we will become more fluid and expansive as the campaign wears on.

One gripe about us, though. We were great that first half against a good Arsenal side at a notoriously difficult ground. I know a lot depends on the way teams set up against us, but it doesn't half irk me to see how we can play against the top sides, for us to go and lower our level against lesser opposition. We were poor against Bournemouth, and we probably won't play as well as we did tonight when we meet West Ham at Anfield. Frustrating.

I do as well but it's too early for me to start wallowing and slitting my own wrists just yet. I think we should choose to take the positives from the season so far. Rodgers (or someone) has finally done solid work on the defending allied with some great new signings at full back. Benteke looks like he's everything I hoped he'd be and we've still got Sturridge to come back. It's not like we're not making chances and it'll take a little bit of time for the new look attack to gel.

Let's not forget we completely fell apart at the end of last season so the start we've made in terms of performances and more importantly results is (to me at least) encouraging. Maybe the negative impact that odious little money grabber had has lifted too.

I'm looking forward to our games again now. The last one that I looked forward to was the Manure one at home last season when we got our arses handed to us - I honestly thought we were going to spank them. Anyway, we're not the finished article but I think we're competitive again.

Oh, and at one point in the game last night they showed Rodgers with Gary Mac in the background. It felt so much more reassuring than seeing Pascoe.

*takes off rose tinted glasses*

Thank goodness Skully is keeping a running track of these things. It's so hard to recall it all.

We could easily have had 2 or 3 last night. Cech made some great saves so I wouldn't blame it all on our players. I think it was Carra who said had that been last season we'd have had 3 goals.

We've been rather fortunate too that Benteke's goal counted due to unfamiliarity of the new offside ruling, and also Arsenal's goal last night. Last time I checked, to be at 7 points after 3 games is way better than having 4 points.

It's Skully ... and his internet persona.

Either give him a like, threaten to fuck his siblings or ignore.

Is this him?

The first post is superbly nihilistic.

Glass half empty - but for refereeing decisions we could have lost the last two games 1-0 and have just 3 pts
Glass half full - who gives a f'ck; we're gonna win the league!
