I thought so too but didn't want to go out on a limb. If we can get even a combined 12-15 M for Riera and Babel and not even weaken our left side I'd say that's good business. As to what we do with that money, who knows, but it's a start.

Personally I don't think we will be in for Petrov but we should be.

The problem for us is that we cant really make much of a move in the transfer market without a new manager, how will it look if the board or Dalglish are signing players, obviously unless Dalglish becomes manager.

He scored 9 goals actually. But there is s a reason Ancelotti played 32 times in the league last season. He's a good player.

He'd have to take a massive wage cut to come here though, so I feel a move to Qatar is on the cards.

Part of the problem with Bollock has been that previous Chav managers have tried to give him defensive duties when he's just not a DM. Ancelotti's played him deep but hasn't expected that much in the way of fetching and carrying from him (a bit like Alonso played for us), so it's worked. If we could find/create such a role for him in our set-up (and could come to a sensible agreement on wages, which might turn out to be the biggest problem), I wouldn't say no.

So Freebie plan number 1= Sell Riera & Babel = £13 million , get Petrov in £13 mill to spend

Freebie 2 = Sell Ngog for £3 million to some dumb french club and get Benjani for nothing, if Roy can get Bobby Z playing like that then maybe he could Benjani, he is much better than Ngog and a good squad striker. Better than Ngog, Voronin, Mellor, EHD, Pongo maybe so why not

N'gog is still learning his trade and has scored 7 in 38 for us. Whilst no a great record i'd much rather have a pacey player who could still improve than a fucking lump of a 30 year old who has hardly touched a football pitch in the last 2 years

Why does what he wears or how he wears it have to do with anything? Joe Cole is a class player and would improve our team heaps. As for Ballack he would want over $100k and not improve us as much as cole would. We have Aqua, Gerrard, Mascher in the midfield
