Ballack is to be released by chelsea maybe worth a punt if Gerrard goes. Could be a stop gap till investment comes in.
i dont want that bender anywhere near our club.
Joe cole is apparently officially released aswell, he would be good and versatile
And Joe Cole is what, the "anti-bender"?
Joe Cole is an awesome player and miles better than most of the shit we currently have
I wasn't talking about that or disputing it. I was ridiculing your claim that you don't want Ballack anywhere near the club cos he's a "bender", but you do want Joe Cole.

And Joe Cole doesn't fall into your "bender" category? Despite his sweatbands, high shorts, limpwrist, and demeanour?
Why does what he wears or how he wears it have to do with anything? Joe Cole is a class player and would improve our team heaps. As for Ballack he would want over $100k and not improve us as much as cole would. We have Aqua, Gerrard, Mascher in the midfield
Paddy - We need a quadruple facepalm.

Why is Ballack a bender Zlatan? And if he is, you wouldn't have him at the club because he's gay?
No i wouldnt have him at our club because of the way he acts and goes about himself on the pitch. Thats why i dont want him anywhere near our club. Especially the salary he would expect compared to what he would deliver. As a direct replacement for LUCAS then id be all for it aslong as his wages are what lucas gets currently, otherwise he can fuck back off to germany

He's a bender cos he wants a big salary. Brilliant.

Inter ready to steal our Serbian Summer Signing?
Posted on Friday, 11th June 2010 by David Tully

Inter Milan are planning an approach for Liverpool bound Milan Jovanovic, according to Italian newspaper La Repubblica. New coach Rafa Benitez is ready to risk the wrath of his former club by offering the Serbian international a contract. It was believed that the Reds had already finalised a Bosman move for the 29 year old but it is believed that a deal for the striker has yet to be secured, and the paper believes Inter will now swoop fo the player to bring him to Italy. The paper believes that discussions over a possible deal have already begun with Inter sporting director Marco Branca, as Liverpool stall on the deal until a new manager is put in place. It is believed that the Standard Liege attacker would provide cover for Diego Milito if the move goes ahead.

No need for a new thread for this one.

Just got a text from a Manc mate who is on some private manc forum who's been tipped off that Torres to Chelsea is on for £50 million.

Why it would be on manc forum? Apprently the guy who posted it 'Is in the know, writes general gossip for the main united fanzine',

Strange source, any truth from any of our people 'in the know'.

What does he do on and off the pitch that is so bad?
He is a fucking tosser! Think back to the Barca-Chelsea champions league semi when he was going crazy at the ref. He is just a tosser and for 100k + a week he can fuck right off 🙂 Or when he and drogba got into a fight because he wanted to take the free kick off drogba in the man utd game a couple seasons ago

If Rafa really loved the club he wouldn't steal our players.
Joking aside, I hope we have this deal tied up. If he has a decent world cup other clubs will be interested in him. Freebie after all.

Chelsea look like they're trying to cut back before the UEFA rules come in around 2012 - Ballack, Belletti and Cole were all let go this week.

So I'd say any big signings for Chelsea are highly unlikely.
Haven't they scrapped a few of their new rules, though? Like the 6+5 one?
I think wages will have to be a certain percentage of turnover, which Chelsea would obviously fail.

This is a bit of a stab in the dark post, TBH - could be wrong.

Liverpool have put a massive £28 million price tag on right back Glen Johnson after Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter went after the World Cup 2010 star, according to the Daily Star.

Johnson, 25, was one of the few bright spots in England's disappointing 1-1 weekend draw with USA, with his marauding runs from the back impressing. After a solid debut campaign on Merseyside, a growing list of clubs have added the player to their summer shopping list.

Ex-Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez wants to bring him to the San Siro if Maicon moves to Madrid, with the Spaniard's set for a move if they can't snatch the Brazilian. Barcelona are also reportedly in the race if Daniel Alves makes abig-money switch to Manchester City.

Another Benitez signing that if we sold right now we'd make a fucking whopping profit on, to add to the likes of Alonso, Reina, Torres, Mascherano, etc etc etc.

Which is all conveniently forgotten when people go all "DOSSENA!".

Yep, ive always said the best way to judge a football club is how much profit they make from selling their playing staff.

Or it's the best way to try to defend the manager you were convinced the board with stick with despite last year.

90% of Rafa's signings increased in value apparently.
Are you sure the loss he makes from the other 10% doesn't outweigh the increased value?
