These kick it out t-shirts

fuck me these "Rael Super Fan" jokes are getting boring .

Can someone not just ban him and the dickheads who keep making them .

I don't want to get into a race argument on here (again) but I get why they didn't want to wear the shirts, and respect them for it.

It's an empty slogan and the fact that Fergie was forcing his players to wear it says it all really.

Chelsea now reconsidering stripping Terry of the captaincy because some sponsors have voiced concerns. So it is all about the money. No wonder some black players thought wearing shirts would be a hollow statement.

Fergie will look like an even more enormous tool if he disciplines Rio for making the decision not to wear the shirt, which ultimately, should be each person's own call.

So I hope he throws the book at him.

The only thing annoying ferguson is that he was embarrassed for being the tool that he is

Exactly. They actually got the campaign talked about properly for the first time in ages. What would have happened if everyone just wore the tops? Nothing but a quick 'aren't we all great' comment and that's that. Only after this mini-rebellion did the issues of under-funding and poor resources actually get aired in public. They deserve applauding for finding a serious way to defend the principle of the campaign rather than just encouraging more empty gestures.

I get Rio's stance, what did Terry get? A 4 game ban? There's no consistency, so for all the intent surrounding 'kick it out', there's no real structure behind it, it's (once again) dependent on who the assailant is.

The best bit of this race-a-geddon was when that wanker who plays for Oldham burst into tears for absolutely fuck all. Maybe he'd picked up some lingering bad juju in the ether from when Liverpool was a slave port or something.

4-5 players not wearing it before the QPR-Everton game aswell.

Any reason that Scandos gets stick? There are probably 5-600 Scandos at each game, if not more.
Some even see every home game.

But surely if Rio wore one of the t shirts the main issue would be utter hypocrisy.

The same Rio Ferdinand who agreed with the use of the term "coconut" by retweeting it on his Twitter not so long ago in reference to Ashley Cole and is support of John Terry.

Better to be a condoner of racism than an utter hypocrite eh.

Please, this is just outrageism on your part. "Coconut" is not racist, and yes it is different when a black man makes a reference to the skin colour of another black man. And no, that is not political correctness gone mad.

Coconut is a racial term. It implies that there is a fundamental difference in personalities dependent on race, which isn't true.

Personalities? I thought it meant that Cole was a traitor to the "black cause". What do you think "coconut" means in this context?

Coconut means white on the inside . that's it. Personalities or perceived traits of a different race, White sympathies or acting in a white manner when black.

Simply put it IS a lazy, generic stereotype which is a racial based insult

I. E racist

Cole betrayed the black cause by supporting honkeys

Cole supported his friend. It had nothing to do with colour. Ferdinand made it so.

Ok, on the face of it you are right, but it is pretty lol to imagine a white person being genuinely offended by the comment. I mean "honkeys", has any white person been offended by that in the history of the world?

He was indicating that he felt that Cole had behaved like a white man.

Coconut is not racist? Hmmm.

Which is why I called it outrageism. You are just clutching at any little thing to be offended by, so you can get that nice warm feeling of outrage welling up.

Oh so now you decide what offends us? Are you white?

Is there a difference between calling someone a honky cunt and calling someone a black cunt?

Yes. No one in their right mind would be offended by the first comment. For the record I am white.

Racism is racism. Whether it's white Black, Asian, etc at the receiving end.

Would I be offended? No but it's not something I've had to deal with throughout my life. Cole, Ferdinand etc have.

Not at all. If that was White man agreeing with someone who used a lazy racial stereotype, the. We would never hear the end of it. But a black fella does it and the likes of you come in with your "it can't racist" platitudes. Why cant it be?

Perhaps I should start spouting what black people should and shouldn't be offended by.

What? So using your logic then, blacks shouldnt be bothered by the term black cunt.

To take this a step further then, you are possibly suggesting that its not possible to racist to a white man. Or that it's less serious. Bizarre.

It is like arguing with a lawyer. I can see that the words "nigger" and "honkey", taken literally and out of context can be said to be the same. But the thing with words is that they never appear out of context, they can be laden with centuries of meaning. So even though "nigger" and "honkey" may be the same on some technical level, one of them is about a million times more offensive than the other. Surely you can see that. We are not in court here.
