The Worst Liverpool Manager Ever?

I think you kids are giving in a bit easy. It's not like we beat any of Manure, Citeh or Brum away last season either. We did beat the shite, but only after getting tonked for 90% of the game and Masch being credited with a goal that a deaf dumb and blind kid would have been chuffed about. Roy'sonly got the same tools to play with.

By the way, I am shitting myself and just playing Devils Advocate.

And the season befre that was domiated by a lot of draws. And when Rafa fixed it and turned them into narrow defeats instead he was sacked... Strange world this!!! 8)

actually i think he turned most of the draws into wins - it was the wins he turned into losses!
 
I genuinely believe Roy needs at least a season without pressure.

Nobody average inherits that Fulham team, keeps them up, signs a few players who can't get in the West Ham team and ends up finishing 7th the following season, then leads them to a European final. He's good at his job.
 
Previeously, I was in Jim Threapleton's army. But now? Now the old crow is starting to get on my nerves with all his negative comments and lack of enthusiasm. I may be on the verge of the 'Roy Out' brigade if he can't turn it around in the next 5 games.

Yes. I noticed that DJSyd posted on that thread though yet didn't join in on the (very weak) brendan-bashing!

Another thing on there - that fella who was posting as 'guest'. I assume that was someone who was later banned. Do you reckon they actually went as far as to ban him there for calling Roy, Woy?

In my experience there it doesn't seem that heavily moderated - isn't Marky still tolerated? - but I rarely post in the football forum. Could be a different story there.

From what I remember they had a sizeable number of RCDNW-ers at one point but then they might have been the ones who left the site eventually
 
The more I think about this topic the more I realise that anyone trying to suggest that Roy is the worst manager we've ever had are at best short sighted and reactionary, and at worst really fucking stupid.
 
Time will tell how good or bad Roy will end up at liverpool .It's still early days so the thread came up to early imo .

It's not very wrong either, they could have even also pointed to how Hodgson got excuses in early for our early UEFA matches.

Hodgson has been saying things that are basically the exact opposite of a call to arms.

That said, what he says will be irrelevant, if he wins a few games, and similarly if he loses a few more.
 
With the press roy might be saying one thing asking for supporters to not expect much, whilst trying to instil a belief in the dressing room.
Sadly it seems the players pay more attention to the press than the boss

I agree he wasn't the right man as he cost £2.75m plus wages. He should not be judged by this worthless competition. But he was been constrained by tight finances.

If the Al-thani family do takeover than and he is given money then we should see some improvement.

I think the lack of patience is born out some people (I include myself) not wanting him in the first place and also some people (I include myself) not believing the new manager is better than the old manager. also it's very unlikely new owners (if we get new owners) will retain the services of the manager so its almost not worth getting attached to him.
