how about another 'fan group' called Spirit of Souness?
Fuck the fan group bit, just make it Lucas' motto.

To kinda get back on topic - did anyone read Hodgson's comments and feel anything other than respect for him ?

He clearly gets it, he's under no illusions. He knows he's got both a massive challenge and a great opportunity on his hands. I do genuinely believe he's capable of taking us back into the top four despite having little to spend.

No Ross.

He's a cunt.

Coz.

Coz the snake appointed him ?

Coz a Chelsea fan approves ?

Coz the Yanks have agreed ?

You're probably right.

Excellent interview, well spoken and thorough with his answers. And FWIW I thought Broughton spoke well and was very professional, jumping in when necessary with quick and to the point answers.

Spoke well did he? Spoke well? Must be fucking posh.

CUNT

Obviously. Did you not see his quiff? Wayne Rooney got a semi on looking at it, silver haired cunts always have that effect on him.

Prove to me that Broughton didn't punch a baby and then drink it's soul from a champagne flute.

YOU CAN'T CAN YOU?!
Did you see the footage of Woy holding the baby outside the ground? Proper Presidental stuff.
Woy has been seen holding the corpse and the MEDIA JUST SAT THERE AND LAPPED IT UP? Unbelievable.

I've just been contacted by lawyers that said that Broughton didn't want to be known as a baby murderer. They are trying to SILENCE ME.

It is bothering me how much Brendan is towing the SoS line, it's out of character.

At the risk of a shoeing, can I just say it's "toeing"?

Thank you, Jules.

Though I think you might be in for a 'showing'

BBC has a link "Hodgson offers Dalglish new role" then when you click on it nothing's there 🙁

Hodgson offers Dalglish new role

New Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has offered Kop legend Kenny Dalglish a new, enhanced role after beating the Scot to the top job at Anfield.

Dalglish, 59, who had been asked to identify candidates to replace Rafael Benitez, had wanted a return to the role he had between 1985 and 1991.

But after Hodgson was unveiled as manager, there was at least a sweetener for the club's one-time 118-goal hero.

Hodgson said: "When you have a resource like Ken it's best to use it properly."

Club chairman Martin Broughton, sitting alongside former Fulham boss Hodgson at Anfield, made no secret of Dalglish's plans to end his current ambassadorial role at Liverpool and return to full-time management.

Broughton said: "Kenny put his name in for the job and we appreciated the fact he wanted to do it but he was never a candidate. He is happy in his current ambassadorial role."

But on the same day fan website KopTalk claimed Dalglish would now walk away from Liverpool, the former Scottish international gave no suggestion that would happen.

Dalglish told the Daily Mail: "I look very favourably on the appointment. I have known Roy a long time and have a great respect for him. We've not had detailed conversations yet but my interests are in Liverpool."

And Hodgson, 62, elaborated on how he would try to build a relationship with Dalglish.

"I respect the fact that Kenny was entitled to suggest to the board that he wanted to be considered, and it won't affect my relationship with him at all," said Hodgson.

"I want to offer Kenny a new, expanded role, a very important title - head of football development.

"I believe Ken can make the perfect bridge, with his football knowledge between the academy and the training ground, and we should never forget the very important role he will always do as an ambassador.

"I think I will work quite closely with him. It's better to have Kenny Dalglish at the club for the long term, maybe 15 years just like Sir Bobby Charlton has been at Manchester United.

"There are so many roles that man can play to help Liverpool FC and that will outlive my tenure at the club. There's no question about that."

****

KopTalk...what the fuck?

I said Kenny wouldn't leave. What I heard is the only way Dalglish would have taken on the managers job was on a temporary basis

I was speaking to one of your former players the other week - Kevin Gallacher. He was telling me that your big strength is organisation. Do you feel that is what Liverpool need at this period of time?

No, not necessarily. I think that all football managers' major task is to organize the team so that you can get the best out of the individual. What clubs of this stature really need is quality players that can bring about the results that the club wants. Organisation alone, unfortunately, will not be able to do that. This team has been well organised for a long, long time - both under Houllier and Benitez. So, it is not only that aspect. Sometimes, when some of the best players are not available to you, organisation can get you a few points that you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. I am sure that everyone at Liverpool Football Club will agree with me whenever I say that the first target is to try and keep your best players you have, and then to try and find some players to complement them. If we are to achieve the goals that Liverpool Football Club must always set, we are not going to do that on organisation alone.

What a great answer.

Certainly is. And while I don't think Roy is the type to publicly criticise other managers, especially those of this football club, it's fairly clear there that he's pointing out a flaw we all knew was there under Rafa and Ged.

Yeah, if only we could go back to the good old days of the manager slagging off the club's administrators and owners in public and using the media to wage internecine power battles. That was great.

He's bound to be on-side Brendan he's just got a new job at one of the best known clubs around the world. A job he probably didn't think he'd get the chance at.

He's a diplomatic guy who wants the maximum help he can get by involving everybody. Whether that strategy will work given the fractious nature currently at the club or perhaps more importantly how long it will last will determine how he does. It's difficult to be everybody's friend.

He's an experienced Manager, hopefully he can withstand the pressure, expectation and politics.
