I don't think that Broughton is a cunt, I think he's done a good job so far, and is miles better than everyone else in terms of just being a professional, and speaking in a calm rational manner about things.
Frankly I haven't seen any hard facts showing Purslow is a cunt, just a lot of conspiracy and reading between the lines, but he failed to do what he was supposed to.
H&G took a bet in the market and failed. They then acted like cunts, so I'm comfortable saying that's what they are.
He's done some fantastic work, and he deserves credit, but it's all too transparent that the scouser is the only one who doesn't get lazily painted with guilt by association by the idiotic wing.

I think you're reading too much into it. Roy simply stated that he has yet to meet any of the players and therefore cannot make guarantees to the press.

roy said he hadnt met them, Broughton said they were optimistic of them staying & we didnt want to sell them for the cash.

roy said he hadnt met them, Broughton said they were optimistic of them staying & we didnt want to sell them for the cash.
In the interview he said he wanted to keep the best players and would try to persuade them to give him a chance. Mr Broughton said that we did not want to sell the players and didn't need to.
To be fair, Hodgson seemed very non-committal over Gerrard and Torres, hence Broughton cutting in.

Off the top of my head: The way Rafa was sacked was snidey. A telephone call when he's on leave. Why no press conference? Houllier had a joint press conference with Moores & Parry when he was relieved of his duties. Rafa led us to the Champions League, he deserved better. Purslow was also making a deal for player behind Rafa's back and advising the press of it. Out of order.
