pretty much the team that will play when everyone is fit.
 
I'd drop kuyt and play gerrard right midfield, what you'd lose with influence through the middle you'd gain with crossing from a wide position.

Yeah me too, I really hate him but at the same time I think the CM of Meireles and Gerrard wouldn't work at all so I have to squeeze in either Lucas, Poulsen or Spearing. Hopefully we're signing a proper DM in the summer, it has to be a priority.

The key decision is Gerrard on the right in a 4-4-2, or Suarez on the left of a 4-2-3-1.

I don't know the way forward right now, but simple logic suggests that Gerrard is the best crosser of the ball we have and Carroll is really good at heading, so pushing Gerrard out wide should seriously be considered.
 
Suarez doesn't need leaving out of the UEFA Cup team ..... we are allowed to play one player who has played in the CL (and that applies vice versa).

Yeah I like this a lot but I'm betting Stevie won't and that Kenny won't push him out there (even for just half a season).

my personal order of priorites in the summer;

1. winger - there is bugger all point of having a beast up front if there is no service from the wings. pointless.

2. CB - we are all over the fucking place at the back, skrtel is getting worse and carra isn't getting any younger.

3. CM - meireles can't tackle for shit, gerrard is wasted as a holding midfielder and lucas is just hapless

4. LB - although glen is making a pretty strong clame I think we'd get more out of the team if glen played further fowards and we had a specialist at LB

Yeah but it states the exception about Dropping into the Europa from the CL, and Ajax did, so he can't play for us, despite not playing in the Europa.
