Well if he didn't consider Negrito to be racist, indeed, if he calls white people negrito (as he almost certainly does) then I don't see how this is a laughable defence.

Negrita is a feminine noun Ross. They have masculine and feminine words in most non-English Latin originated languages. As a simple example,negrito may be equivalent to calling someone 'mate' and negrita thus would translate to something like 'love' or 'pet'. So the insult is thus he's saying Evra is acting like a woman. If that's all it is then wow ban him for life, cast him out and let all of us wipe him from our memory. How fucking dare he.
