The Race for Fourth

That was hardly a rocket science prediction, seems as United fans and elements of the media have been suggesting this would happen for the last month.

You're not really any kind of authority when it comes to accurate predictions, let's be brutally frank

You can always trust good old Benteke to score against Liverpool and then miss a sitter against other teams.

City just fucked us on goal difference. We need to step it up against Southampton.

Massive game 3 pts any way shape or form. Fuck the GD

Agreed. We don't seem to have the capacity to brush teams aside like the first half of the season. Injuries to key players obviously playing a big part in that.
Hope I'm wrong like and we put 3 or 4 last them...but any win will do.

No, look at this way: we are statistically very likely to score after three blanks against them.

See? Win all the way

I suppose that this is why Klopp continues to pick Origi. He has deluded himself into thinking Origi is a good striker, reasoned that he can't continue to have poor game after poor. So the worse he plays, the greater will be Klopp's conviction that he must pick him again, because sods law says the moment I don't pick him that would have been the game he scored in.

You have to draw the line somewhere though

Gambler's logic.

I know this is shocking but .. Sturridge played all 180 mins of the semis vs. Southampton, without a goal of course.

I still want to see a front line of Origi ... Firmino ... Lallana, with Coutinho in behind. Though I also wouldn't say no to Coutinho ... Firmino ... Studge, with Lallana in behind.

That's different, he was high on sisha at the time.

So, after today's results, we end with a point more.
Ignore City - They aren't our priority

Games left:
Us - West Ham (A), Middlesbrough (H)
Utd - Spurs (A), Soton (A), Palace (H)
Arsenal - Soton (A), Stoke (A), Sunderland (H), Bitters (H).

Current Table
Us P 36 Pts 70
Utd P 35 Pts 65
Ars P 34 Pts 63

You've got to think that Utd and Arsenal will win their home games at the end of the season, with 3 points pretty much guaranteed vs bottom of the table Sunderland. But the others I'm not so sure, I reckon Southampton will take something vs Arsenal.

With 2 games to play with, I reckon we only need 1 win out of the last 2. Hammers look like they are on holiday.

Its still in our hands.

Although- a poor performance in their final home game might get Billic the sack.

It's us - clearly we're going to lose to West Ham - when have we ever made life easy for ourselves.

Arsenal still have quite the job to do, winning at both Soton and Stoke.
Utd will also lose to Spurs now I reckon.

Knowing our luck, Arsenal will win both games in hand and we'll fuck up against West Ham.
With all the bad luck we've had, we're surley due something good. Hopefully they'll fuck up.

I'm nervous about Arsenal. I would have preferred a draw there this afternoon. They often sneak top 4 when they don't deserve it. They could win all 4 of their remaining games.

Yep, said the same thing to a mate. They can win their next 4 games.
They play two games before we play West Ham. If they win both the pressure will ve insane om us, and we'll likely choke..
But Arsenal have been massive chokers themselves this season. Winning at both Soton and Stoke will be tough.

As if Everton will do us a favour on the last day of the season if we need it mind.

I haven't got a whole lot of faith in that.

Me neither... but I read on the BBC that since Leicester appointed their new manager only us and Spurs have gained more points than them.

Don't know how this weekend's results affect this, but I'm not sure I believe what the Beeb said anyways.

Sky are saying its out of our hands for some reason, i guess they're still reporting off the basis that Utd would beat Arsenal?

I think four points should do the job
